I would have never guessed TB D would keep KC from scoring a TD. That’s crazy

Isn't that kinda the bigger achievement than scoring 31 points? Everyone is talking about Brady but that seems even more important.

Mahomes was pressured on 54% of his dropbacks, the highest pressure rate in SB history.

Brady only pressured on 4% of his dropbacks. The least ever.

Bill Russell still holds the NBA record at 12 for 13 in NBA Finals. But it took Jordan's 6-0 and an objectively better skillset to surpass Russell as the GOAT. It will take a similar feat to pass Brady. Probably going 5-0 and having an objectively better skillset at QB. I will submit to everyone that the 2nd part of that formula will be harder than the first.

Going 5-0 in the super bowl is better than going 7-3? Are we in some sort of bizarro world. Whoever wants to dethrone Brady needs at least 8 today, probably more.

what a shit game. Brady winning is like being raped by the same guy over and over again. There's a sense of familiarity and you kinda know what's coming

also, look at all these memes

This article is an example why people are ok with Mahomes losing even if he's a nice guy. Modern media is garbage and we are force fed it in all aspects of our lives.

"Mahomes’ incomparable playoff success for a young quarterback is a big part of his story"- Brady started better. MUCH BETTER.
"Mahomes’ quest to eventually overtake Brady as the greatest of all time has been put on hold. But that doesn’t mean it won’t happen eventually."
And don't forget...."Mahomes is also a Black man". Never forget, in case you didn't know somehow and we will always remind you.

To think I was worried about them getting out coached. They absolutely game planned it perfectly.

"According to ESPN, Mahomes was pressured on a staggering 29 of 56 dropbacks Sunday, the most of any QB in Super Bowl history. He also ran for 497 yards before his passes and sacks, the most such yardage by any quarterback in any game this season."

Ouch
Suh was the real MVP. He doesn't have the turning radius to get the paper tackle stacks that matter, but he was basically the juggernaut in that game. People who got in his path were getting blown up. The few times mahomes didn't see suh coming were the plays were he started limping and looking all twisted like my grandma. That chiefs offensive line was not up to the task.

Mahomes should ask for a trade lol 😆
His whole team let him down.

runs from Suh like a beast jumping in the air and perfect throw while vertical. Bounces off his WR face mask.

total failure lol.

Hill will be the only WR the keep next year.

According to ESPN Stats & Information, Mahomes was pressured on 51.8% of his dropbacks, the third-highest rate he has seen in any game as a pro. The only quarterback pressured more frequently in a playoff game over the past three years was Lamar Jackson against the Bills in the divisional round. A quarterback extending plays forever can create and invite pressures, but that really wasn't the case here. The Chiefs could not block up Tampa Bay.

Mahomes was sacked only three times, which is a testament to how incredible he was in this game. He was able to repeatedly escape what would have been play-destroying pressures for other quarterbacks. What looked to be frantic, desperate passes often hit his receivers in the helmet or hands, and I might remember one of his incompletions from this game more than any other play. If someone tells you Mahomes choked or was the problem in this loss, they weren't paying attention.

Chief's game plan was bad, they didn't adjust offensive game plan, o line is decimated, recievers played like shit and the defense started off well but no adjustments after they switched up what they were doing. I think Patrick played a lot better than his stat line indicated. They didnt seem prepared at all.

This loss hurts, but it doesn't feel as bad as some of the ones in the past (all the losses against the Colts and the 2018 AFC championship were worse, I think). Still, I have hope Mahomes has a few more Superbowl wins in him.

Also read they used 5 man protections 92.3% of the time... Doesn't seem smart to never adjust and add more/different protection when they were getting through so fast all the time.

He's saying if some dude goes 5-0 while in a 17 year career throws for 80 percent completion percent while throwing for 86K yards and 717 TDs. Sort of the same way Russell gets overlooked and it's all Jordan/Lebron talk.

I heard some stat this morning around the Bucs blitzing - it was something like 10% (5 plays) the entire game. Mahommes was running for his life on 4 man rushes on half the fuckin drop-backs all game.

The Bucs by comparison had the lowest ever pressure on Brady ever in a Superbowl. They were using Gronk as a blocker mostly, and had an extra offensive lineman in for a noticeable number of plays. Tell me again why Bienemy is a good coach?

I don't want to whine about it, but I think some of the second quarter penalties really swung momentum for the rest of the game. It seemed like the refs were letting TB be more physical on defense. I dont know if it would have made a difference either way anyways

you have to call them if they warrant it.
the evans one the guy fell and tripped evans. you have to call that - even if the ball was out of reach(evans might have been able to touch the ball if not for getting tripped).
