I'm starting to think that maybe Cutler wasn't a good QB. He sure loved throwing floaters. Also, I had totally forgotten that he played for the Dolphins.

Kind of ironic since he was reported to have maybe one of the stronger throwing arms ever. Think Elway basically said Cutler was comparable to him.

Still pisses me off to no end they didn't remove him from that game after his 2nd TD pass to put us up 14-0 in the 1st. Could have rode Cousins (even super Int prone Cousins back then) to a win, and maybe RG3 doesn't completely fuck up the knee where he never comes back.

Granted, he may never have improved as a pocket passer to the point where he'd be a real starter going forward...but his impact that year was undeniable and we were dominating that game until he was basically out there gimping around unable to do anything.

I always thought Shanahan should have pulled him after the first time he 'hurt' the knee in that game.

It was the play right before his 2nd TD pass, where you could see visibly he tweaked it. Was able to make the short throw on the next play, but it was clear his mobility was severed hampered (and he was probably only like 80% at best coming into the game).

I remember them talking about him squinting because he was blind as fuck during a FSU game when he was in college. Im blind af without my glasses, dont know why he would want to play that way.

They don't need him anymore now that they have Joe Burrow's career to ruin.

Dalton had a good run. One of the better QBs in Bengals history. 2011-2016 were some good years even if they ended in disappointment. I'm sure he'll find a good home somewhere. I'll always pull for him. He showed up into a shit show of a situation in 2011 and was a critical piece in carrying that team to the playoffs. And the next four years after that.

I hoped the Bengals would get something out of Dalton instead of outright cutting him. But I guess they didn't receive any offers worth anything because everyone knew we'd likely cut him anyway.

I mean, Cutler did have a massive fucking throwing arm. The first highlight here is a 50 yard rope. I've always believed that if the whole Shanahan firing doesn't occur, Cutler's career arc is way, way different.

I liked facing him in the playoffs the few times we made it. I knew the Chargers would win. I wish him good luck.

Seems like a mistake this year to make new QBs day one starters.

No mini camps
No OTAs
Much shorter time to acclimatize to new offense and getting to the nfl.

Should let vets start give the young guys some time to learn before being hung out to dry.

Yes, Miami should start fitz and LAC should start Tyrod. Only exception is GB. They should start Love for the lulz.

Yeah I'm not sure how I feel about rushing Burrow into the starting role when we have no idea how this offseason will go.

Love should come off the field and be like "so about adding some help at WR?"

Heh, I was just reading that and thinking the same thing. I mean how often do you get value out of a 6th round pick anyway? So I guess it is worth taking the shot at it just to spite your rivals? I dunno

Seems a little weirder to be trying to block them from getting their own Taysom Hill...by drafting him, when you already have Taysom Hill.
