Yeah i'm not sure why everyone thinks that would be wierd or any kind of big deal. It's not like Brady was fucking his wife or vice versa.

I honestly don't think anyone is that excited about the game this year. Probably has a bit to do with the feelings towards the NFL in general, but also because it's another Pats game. And Atlanta doesn't exactly have a huge fan base.

This game is honestly a pick em.
I still think the Patriots win comfortably, but they could get ran off the field themselves. If the Falcons score first though, or rack it up like against Green Bay early, its going to be hard for them to lose that game. But if Ryan throws an early pick, and the nervousness sets in, they are in big trouble.
These teams are very evenly matched, but whats crazy is it could be a blowout either way. It could also be a tight game given the Patriots Super Bowl history, so who knows. If Atlanta can get pressure and they blitz 40% of the time like they have been this postseason, the Patriots are in trouble. But Brady could also have one of his legendary type performances and overcome the blitz, instead picking it apart and exploiting the matchups downfield.
Atlantas run defense is also a question mark area. Like I said before Blount could end up with 180 yards rushing and a couple scores on 20 carries. James White or Deion Lewis could also have a breakout type performance and kill Atlanta in the screen game if Beasley and friends start coming off the edge too aggressively. Just so many possibilities.

I'd like to think it could be a real game, but the Patriots Defense is just way better than Atlanta's. Sure, Belichick could be too cautious again and keep it unnecessarily close, but I doubt it.
And yeah, this is way quieter than usual. Half of it is the Pats have been the prohibitive favorites since they went 3-1 without Brady. Add in Atlanta being a charisma vacuum ("Julio Jones is great!" is about all you can say about their roster), and there aren't even any injury storylines to consider (Can X make it back for the big game?). All that's left is arcane coach talk: Dan Quinn's been in a lot of Super Bowls lately! Shanahan has a rough week pretending he's not putting a coaching staff together!

got the white chocolate cheesecake made- got the pork butt prepped for its 7:30am start for pulled pork, wings, ribs onto smoker @ 12:30ish deep fried goat cheese @5:30... crossing fingers that it all goes well...got a full tank of propane - extra tank that is...just in case. gonna try to set up a covered canopy outta 3 mil plastic sheeting and use a portable heater and the firepit to attempt to have an extra room (i just have to do the sides- i got 16' of 1/2" pvc sleeved into 2 10x16ish 3 mil poly...just have to bend the pipes- wedge one end against house overhang- other end wedged against deck post, then tie the pvc in place against rail -2 spots for first post, then tie the 2 pieces together, then hang the pvc off ends- weigh down with 2x4's... overall gonna do ~15'covered i think...duct tape the 4 ends under overhang to house temporarily....(crosses fingers it works and gets warm enough)
