My cat would have gone crazy for the lazer pointer. It's funny how Boston simply lose their head when playing VS the Habs.

Fuck Boston. Can I hate Lucic while still cheering for Matt Cooke? Probably not, right?

Yes. Cooke is pure class compared to Lucic.

Also I just dropped my pants and shit on the floor in front of a bunch nursery school students. That was also pure classcompared to Lucic.

You could buttfuck a hobo to Cotton Eye Joe while fingerbanging a camel and you would still be pure class compared to Lucic.

Christ I don't even know what I'm doing anymore. I close my eyes and start typing random words at this point, then hitPost.

Rick Nash deserves all the blowjobs. This is the best I have seen him play since coming to NY.
Don't worry, he'll fade away once the speed and competitiveness continues to pick up as the season progresses. I dunno, maybe he'll hold it together, but from where I stand there are few players more overrated than Nash.

So last night Pascal Dupuis got knocked down in front of the goal, then Kris Letang's shothit him in the back of the neck. He got stretchered off. He seems to be OK today and was skating with the team, but it was a reminder of an incident a couple seasons back.

Why does Letang hate Dupuis?

Also, hockey players are tough.

Habs win again, but we're seriously lucky so far. We haven't showed in the first all season, but we manage to win a bunch of games by 1 goal. This will catch up to us at some point, we need to start playing a bit better if we want a good season because this luck won't hold up all season long.

Having said, I'm happy with the results so far...Go Habs Go.

Caps still haven't lost in regulation, and the D has done such a better job preventing shots than last year. More of that.

CBC had this up a couple nights ago. Not surprising they left off Ovechkin/Backstrom at 1,319. Not surprising at all.

I was gonna ask how many finals they've been to, but I guess that would eliminate Marleau and Thornton too. Which would make the most sense, actually.

This just in, it takes more than 2 players to succeed in the Stanley Cup playoffs. Although in Backstrom's case he hasn't always shown up for the postseason.

I realize. But I think that playoff success is the very definition of what makes a good hockey player. Do you know who Dale Hawerchuk is? He was one of the best players of the high scoring 80's/90's era. And no one gives a fuck about him today because he never won a goddamn thing and only made it past the second round once. That's the path that Thornton, Marleau, Ovie, and Backstrom are on. Ovie and Backstrom still have a fair amount of career left in front of them to actually win, but it's almost over for Thornton and Marleau.

At least the sisters can say they came within a game of winning the Cup.

Saying you were within a game of winning the Cup doesn't mean much considering the game in question in my opinion. Agreed playoff success is huge on the resume (with a Cup being the obvious standard), but there are plenty of guys who have "shown up" for the playoffs that haven't had playoff success. When you're only on ice for barely more than 1/3 of the game, I don't think any player's legacy can be purely defined by reaching the Finals or hoisting a Cup. You need a good team around you too. Or at least a hot goalie.

Guh, as much as I love MAF the person I hate MAF the goalie even more. That motherfucker needs togo. It doesn't even matter who they play, he's been consistently outplayed by back ups for years. Statistically the Pens D has been good-very good for years. Top 5-10 on scoring chances allowed. Doesn't matter, that fucking clumsy sieve back there just lets pucks trickle through. Or God Forbid tries to play the puck like tonight, which is basically a coin flip at best.

Oilers on a two game winning streak. Staking out a spot on the parade route as we speak.

And yeah, MAF has been a colossal fuckup his entire career. So much athletic ability, such a fucking goofball:

Small sample size and everything but Kuemper looks like an absolute stud through 6 games (technically 5 with Backstom starting one).

I think the Wild can make a run at the conference finals this year. Still probably need a season or two for a couple of the young guys to really develop into impact players, but Granlund and Nino are right on that cusp.
