Habs played hard last night, gotta give them credit. Lindgren getting pulled from the game seemed to rattle us a bit. Apparently going on IR, too. Kinda sucks, even if Thompson has been the better of our two in net.

Doesn't feel like Caps have played very well of late, but 7-2-3 over last 12 going back into December just keep adding points. They all count in the end. Thompson has been unbelievable in goal for us. Stole another one tonight.

I haven't yet this year, just been lazy about it. Have a couple different groups of friends that all want to go (they're more bandwagonish types, now that Caps are doing well they're all about going to see some games). I'm sure I will next month or two. Might hit playoffs hard if we don't fall off a cliff and look like we might have a chance to make some noise.

They're all fans, it's just they're much more NFL or college football people during the start of hockey season and their interest will spike or wane based on how the Caps are doing. Come playoff time they're always invested, just have very few that are as into hockey.

Hell ya I hear ya. For me NHL is great during NFL because so many games during the week to keep both interests. It’s much more exciting near the end of Feb though.

Arguably the best goalie prospect but honestly the Russian from SJS is my favorite to watch. Man is the most agile goalie around the net I've ever seen.

Go Habs go, damn we’re playing well. Such a difference between the first half and second half. I guess being healthy makes a difference, pretty started when we got full team healthy.
Dobes continues his amazing gameplay. What a nice beginning to his nhl career 4-0 facing Panthers, Avalanche, Capitals and tonight Stars so not like he’s being protected with easy starts.

Logan Thompson just taking over the net. Back to back shutouts. Yet another Ovechkin overtime game winner. Passes Jagr with his 179th different goalie scored against for most all time, think he's only 1 or 2 behind Jagr for most game winning goals now, too. 20 goals behind Gretzky. 21 to pass. 39 games to go. It's a real tough ask for this season, but on he goes.

Av's in bad spot, and we're well past the time where "It's a long season" can be said after every loss. We just can't hold leads when we get them, give away leads at the start of the game the majority of the time, 1-15 powerplay chances since the new year, just not good. All of this with two players in the top 10 for points, with Mack leading the league. Makar holding the defensive scoring leader spot up until last night.
The new goalies are helping, but if they don't get and stay healthy, and get their shit together for a full 3 periods at a time, then I'm pretty sure this isn't our year.
