So on Wii-U it had dlc courses that were bundled into the base game on Switch in 2017 plus below

  • Revamped Battle mode with new courses, complete with rules like Balloon Battle and Bob-omb Blast. New Battle mode courses include Urchin Underpass and Battle Stadium, plus returning ones like GCN Luigi's Mansion and SNES Battle Course 1.
  • Choose from new characters, such as Inkling Girl and Inkling Boy from Splatoon, King Boo, Dry Bones and Bowser Jr., and customise new vehicles.
  • Two items can now be carried at once, and more items have been added, including returning favourites such as Boo, the item-stealing ghost, and the Feather, which gives you a high jump in Battle mode.
  • Play your friends in local wireless multiplayer with up to 8 players.
  • Play in TV mode in up to 1080p.
  • Enjoy home-console-quality Mario Kart action anytime, anywhere with handheld mode.
  • New optional Smart Steering feature makes it easier for kids and novice players to stay on the track, even at 200cc.
  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is compatible with all of the same amiibo, plus Animal Crossing and Splatoon amiibo.
  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe includes all the DLC from the Wii U version of Mario Kart 8, including Mercedes karts.
Switch 2 is the same power level as a PS4 Pro (I think I read that a few pages back), even adding sprawling F-Zero type tracks would be possible now, they would have options to really shake it up and I hope they do.

Its not PS4 Pro level, some insider laughed that rumor off already.

Every ten year old I know wants one. I’m guessing these will have good holiday sales figures this year.

At this point it seems pretty dumb that Metroid Prime 4 is still an original Switch game.

It kinda looks like ass from what I've seen. Like a PS3 game on a nice TV.

Just make it a Switch 2 launch game and give it some modern high-tech visuals. I want to be wowed again like I was by Metroid Prime 1 in 2002.

I guess the idea is they'll double dip by having it on Switch 1, then a Switch 2 version a year later. Bleh. Makes sense though, it'll sell way more copies as a Switch 1 game than Switch 2.

At first I thought this was an overpriced cash-in of a bunch of old games, but now I'm not so sure. It looks like there's one entirely new game (Salamander III) along with six old ones (that look like they might be visually enhanced?)

I played Gradius, Life Force, and Gradius 3 as a kid and they were all awesome. I thought Life Force was Gradius II for a couple decades, then a few years ago I found out there was a separate Gradius II so I played that too. Which means there should be 3 things on here I never got to play.

Trying to keep the continuity straight on this, it looks like "Salamander" is what we knew as Life Force? But there's also a "Life Force" on here that's a different game. So uhh is Salamander the US Life Force and "Life Force" is a different thing from Japan, or am I totally misreading the video and Life Force is the one we got here while Salamander is something that was Japan-only? I don't remember Life Force (on the NES) having vertical stages so I'm inclined to think Salamander is something else entirely.

I swear to christ, these people don't understand demand elasticity at all.

lol yeah, I'd love to get this for like $20, but they're shooting themselves in the foot asking for significantly more than that.

25th anniversary page popped up for FF9, everyone now expecting the long wait since the nvidia leak to be over as it should be a Switch 2 announcement.

They already remastered FFIX and it was fine.

Unless they're doing a full FF7 Remake style totally redone 3D game or something, I don't know why anyone needs another FF9 remaster. But whatever, these companies just sell us the same things over and over and people re-buy them to play for ten minutes and have a quick member-berry.

They re-released FF6 so many times you had to look up which platform actually had the good version.

I don't think ff9 needs a remake at all. But I fear with the way square enix has been milking the good games while they pump out shit that's where we're headed.

FF7 remake is good, but I still don't think we needed it. Meanwhile FF16 sucked ass.
