Step 1: go to the folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\No Man's Sky\Binaries\SETTINGS)
Step 2: Open TKGRAPHICSSETTINGS.MXML with notepad
Step 3: Change the fullscreen value to False and the borderless window value to true
That is how you fix the crashing on startup.

Depends on what the resource prices in your system are. Go to a trade station, look for items with gold stars next to them. Those items sell way above galactic average within that star system.

Just farm up whatever resource seems to be selling at a +% either on the planet or at the space station. Later on you'll find planets that have ground items that you can run around and pick up (unstackable though) which go for 25k+ each, so search for all those Drop Pods while you're running around to increase your suit inventory (max is 48 slots).
Yeah it's good. That and gold early on are good money makers and tend to either be in abundance or not there at all.

My wife and I had been looking forward to this, but the no multiplayer (nice that in the graphic up there they crossed it out, nice touch...) killed it mostly for us.
I was going to give it a spin anyways, but this metric crapton of shit reviews is seriously making me think it's time to wait for it to be on a steam sale...

Thanks for this. I had already messed around with the ini but for some reason didn't assume it went above 100.
150 seems like the sweet spot for me on a 1920x1080 resolution, feels proper and far less claustrophobic.

Watching day9 stream it right now, seems to be having a positively bad time. Parked on a space rock, cant get back up. 'Guess we continue until we find something fun'. Doesnt find anything fun. Ends up using jets to suicide but spawns at a save point instead of ship. Lol.

You can climb walls if you jetpack into them, it doesn't use up your jetpack then, so he could easily climb back up.
As well, if he got to various trading hubs and other locations on the map, he can craft a hacking chip thingy and summon his ship to that location.

My only real complaint of the game so far is that I think inventory management is garbage and sort of dissuades me from staying on a planet for too long. I assume you eventually unlock larger inventories for you/your ship?
