Just got off the phone with mr. Nvidia, they are going to sell the 3080ti exclusively on ebay auctions.

People laughed at me for buying a 2070 for my new PC in April. So happy I did not wait for a 3 series.

I grabbed a B stock EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 XC ULTRA GAMING for $400 delivered at about the same time. Direct from EVGA, B stock, but new from what I could tell. Sold my 1070 for $250. Crazy year for video cards. The B stock was the only thing in stock when I was looking.

By my rough calculation you would need 15 20 amp lines for that rack at full power. 300amp panel box.
Most new houses have 200amp service. Old houses 60.
Even then a 300 amp service isn't rated for 300 amps nonstop so 400 amp service JUST for the cards. Same as 2 decent sized homes.
Roughly 25,000-30,000 watts. At 10 cents per kwh( cheap end ), it would be a $2200 electric bill(month) for the cards alone.

The cards don't run full pelt do they? I thought people made bios updates for voltage etc and it's all performance/watt/price related now.

So how many months to pay off the cards even if they only paid retail?
even paying scalper prices it was like 6 months - they didn't go into the investment and power costs of cooling equipment though, although it's probably negligible compared to the monthly revenue
