I have 3 good monitors already but the 49" is tempting. And AMD is definitely worth looking into, which is just another reason to potentially skip these behemoths.
If it's a 35% performance increase at a $200 price increase, doesn't seem worth it for Nvidia.

AMD? I'm not holding my breath.

So unsurprisingly, these things are power hogs. 3090 will consume 350 watts, and that's before any overclocking.

yeah i'm leaning more towards just buying a ps5 day one, especially if R&C is launching in 2020, and playing Cyberpunk on that instead of upgrading my PC. Next year they'll shake out the kinks with a 3080ti model and I'd be happier with it I suspect.

Sure, PS5/X is probably gonna be closer to a 2080ti than a 3080 but since I currently have a 1080 its still a massive upgrade.

I'm not ready to say they suck just yet. Once we see some real benchmarks will tell the story, for myself.

He said all things considered though. So he’s talking price, size, power consumption. Not everything is confirmed yet but if it all ends up being true the benchmark won’t really matter as much if there are so many trade offs to get there.

And I said, for myself. I'm not planning to buy a 3090 but perhaps replace my 2080 with a 3080 or even a 3070 but that depends on the performance. A 320w card doesn't force me to upgrade anything other than the 2080.

I don’t see how they can justify the new PSU plug and huge increase in power if this thing doesn’t outperform the 2080ti by at least 50%. Anything less will be underwhelming.

Hopefully those prices are FAR From real bc it would mean the departure from Nvidia cards.

What did the latest titan come at price wise? was it 3k? If the 3090 is supposed to be a titan then I guess the price is right even though maybe 2 people bought a titan. Seems fucking retarded to be selling at that price point.

Some people really need to stop thinking the 3090 will be reflective of the rest of the series.

Not sure what Nvidia was thinking with ditching the titan branding. It's clear that it's going to further the concerns of their cards being too expensive.

Even more interested in Big Navi now. Particularly keen to see what their 3080 competitor will look like - $/performance, and I'm still not caring too much about Ray Tracing.

Way more interested in brute force throughput seeing I'm on high-res Ultrawide now for good. Here's hoping AMD -finally- has a decent sized hammer to drop on Nvidia.
