Finally put the build together last night - took longer than it should have since I haven't build a PC since 2011, but it wasn't too difficult to figure out once I did a smoke test on the fans to ensure they were pointing in the right direction for airflow.

Played Marvel Rivals last night and I was getting 110-120 FPS on High Settings on almost 4k resolution (3840x1600), I didn't see my CPU go over 48C whenever I checked on it - pretty happy with everything so far.

As far as Win11 I know a lot of people are pissed because according to the next preview build you will no longer be able to by-pass having a Windows Login, they are fixing the loophole in the pro version, and removing the over all script that lets you set Win11 into a "Build" mode, it lets you update Windows and install drivers/software without needing a proper software key.

Other then a few odd ball things with the new UI I haven't really had any problems with it, coming from 10..(although 7 is still the best..)

They aren't removing the bypass. They are removing a script that just makes the bypass easier. You can use Rufus to create an Win 11 image that will have the bypass built in.

I got a PowerColor Red Devil 9070 XT from MicroCenter, and having them put it into a Corsair 3500x with a 9800X3D, 64GB DDR CL30 6000, 2TB PCIe 5.0 NVME Samsung 9100 for an OS drive and a second 4TB 990 Pro for games, et al, Asus X870E, and RGB ICue Extraordinaire, with RX Max fans because I refuse to have another loud build out of the gate I have to spend time and energy fixing after the fact.

I really should have gone with Ut's solution if I wasn't such a picky bastard about the individual parts. The only thing I was on the border about was not being able to get an Artic Cooling 360 from MC since they were continuously out of stock, so I went with the Corsair 360 Titan for the AIO. Not best in class but with the 9800X3d, not required I think, plus I liked the LCD and I wanted to go all Corsair with this build.

Priced out I think I spent a little more, like $3100? (I might be off a couple hundred from getting the fans/case at Amazon) including the build cost.

I may get the MicroCenter warranty on the PowerColor card now, reading these issues.

I haven't picked it up yet but in both my assemblies at MC, I never had them fail to boot test to for me to confirm it worked. Honestly I don't remember if I demanded it or they offered it but I wouldn't leave the store without seeing it work.

Lots of new faces, only one guy I recognized from when I had my 7700x built but long gone are the days I went in every few weeks and looked around.

Semi-Edit: I could not recommend more StarDock Start 11 to fix issues with Win 11 UI; lets you restore the classic Win 10 interface, or hybridize/customize it to your heart's desire.

'SteamOS' is just Arch linux with a few custom proton repos preconfigured and Steam Big Picture.

You can run it right now, 100% identical, to what is on the deck if you know anything at all about linux.

But you won't. People will whinge up a storm about Win11, but 99.99% of them will never leave the platform and Microsoft knows it.

I am done with farting around with linux in general, I just want to play my games without jumping thru hoops, Proton has gotten better over the years, but it's still fucking WINE with a shiny new skin.

I'm not having issues with Win11, they just moved some things around not a big deal.

I am falling in love with PC Gaming all over again. Hooked this up to my 65" and it was so fucking cool - Cyberpunk with everything max at 4k - DLSS Quality - holy shit. DESTROYS PS5 Pro. And now I do not have to wait or hope for some bullshit console patch. Seriously why - just change all your PC settings instantly on the upgrade and wham - 40% higher quality and frames with Path Tracing and Ray Tracing. Free online, discord chat, and can always just plug it into the home theater for a weekend if I want. Loaded up RDR2 - 125 FPS at 4k everything max'd with Game HDR. Sweet Jesus - I'll be replaying that now.

So now I have one more thing I am looking at. Upgrading my 27" 2k IPS LG to this:

I don’t have any personal thoughts on it based on experience but I have never seen this flag on an Amazon item before. No way would I get it.

There is this one from MSI that looks good as well. Not sure what the difference is between MAG, the in you linked, and MPG reviewed below.

I have that monitor and can confirm it's amazing, went from a 4k Gigabyte M32U to the Asus PG32U and it's like night and day with the image quality.
