Agreed, watched ROTS extended cut which mixes in clone wars and rebels to make one big movie and whilst ROTS is flawed, it's still infinitely better than the sequels

the prequels are still superbad for multiple reasons expanded on by Red Letter Media, the Disney sequels are just way worse. both are lazy and boring productions, but at least the core story in the prequels are slightly less gay. there are also 2 cool characters in the prequels(even though they didnt actually do anything of note), Mace Windu and Darth Maul. there are 0 cool characters in the sequels.

I always thought it was weird when they made Rebels to be pre-original trilogy era but due to the sequels' failures it made the perfect bridge for them to connect and expand on the universe before those travesties. There is absolutely nothing I would want to see done or spun from 789 era yet if the writing is there we will be glad to have a Kenobi series.

I wanted to argue with you. Mas Kanata was cool, but she didn't do much. Captain Phasma was cool in her book, but she did jack shit in the movie. BB8 is allright. Makes a better toy than R2 at any rate. So I guess you're right. About the best new character I can come up with is Rey and that's only because she's cute and cute girls like to cosplay as her.
What about memorable quotes? The only one I can think of from the sequels is "Chewie, we're home" and "It's true. All of it". Both of those are only because of member berries. As bad as the prequels were, they were still chocked full of them.
Also fuck you. Qui gon was an awesome character. And to be honest, so was old palps. He was way better in the prequels than the original trilogy.

to each their own, but IMO qui gon had no flair or memorable things to be remembered for. palps is awesome, but he was awesome in the OT, he wasnt from the prequels. Mas Kanata was half cool, but the way Luke's lightsaber inexplicably shows up in her bar and she never explains why because she's a retard was a dealbreaker. Phasma was shiny like a cylon but she wasnt "cool" she was tryhard cool. i dont care about the stupid soccer ball.

Same, I started watching the Clone series last week and it's really grown on me. I just started Season 3 and realized that some of the episodes seemed out of chronological order so I gotta find a list to help place them all appropriately.

I think that we have had so many remakes and soft reboots that any sort of imagination and originality in a prequel is now appreciated.

they couldnt even come up with a cool disney theme park for Star Wars. its a generic desert planet called NotTattoine(i kid). its basically no particular place with kylo ren and stormtroopers mumbling dumb imperial shit. Mando was only cool because he was based off Boba Fett, which they fucking ruined.
