I should really do my placements, but I just really haven't had much time to play the game lately so I feel awful. I think I have to just 100% Soldier and say fuck it. My mechanics are still probably solid, though I feel when I do play I die sometimes when I shouldn't likely because my aim sucks

After being 2400 last season cause people throwing placements, i got placed 2500 this season, last night grinded to 3k mostly as reinhardt/lucio but if I ever have to dps I'm 100% soldier. Soldier is the easiest character in any videogame ever, it's a pretty solid idea.

also the new 3 tank meta is annoying but reaper is also easy as fuck to play

fyi you have the highest career sr of anyone on my friends list so you probably don't totally suck.

I did 4 placements last night and felt like I was playing really well. Went 1-2-1 :( One of the losses there was 4 players on each time that where Diamond ranked, and my team just got fucking shit stomped. It was the only game I didn't get Solider fast enough, and it was on Hollywood defense (which is really good for Soldier). The guy did nothing, then the same guy after we got run over in like 3 minutes went Tracer on attack because "we already lost"

Fucking people man. It'll be interesting to see where I end up.

I think I went 3-7 in placements and got placed around where I finished S2. I'm now up to 2850. I've found the MM very good lately.

This is my first season and went 6-4 placements and was 2300. IDK if I'm any good but I just speed pick Lucio and um stand in the middle and try not to suck. Also figure out optimal booping strategy.

I'm 4-3-1 in my placements at the moment, and my queue time is fucking forever. It's absurd

Edit: and just queued into a game with 10 people all Diamond players. Fun placements lol

There's a thread on compet from a guy that couldn't get out of gold, started a new account, placed diamond and climbed to grandmaster.

Went back to his old account and couldn't climb.

4-5-1 and got placed 2934, which is career high lol. Granted I only played like 40 games last season and was like 28xx

Does not compute. Diamonds can't play placements unless you meant last season.

I was solo for all of my placements, there was 10 people in the game that were ranked Diamond. It was a reasonably common occurrence

uhh what?

I dunno man, ask Blizzard. Season 1 final 60, high 62 (Went 110-92). Season 2 high 2881, final 2829 (went 26-18-1). Then that result from the placements

I went 4-5-1 in placements and came in at 2600 (finished last season at 2992). Promptly won 8 games straight and am now over 3k. The games at diamond feel about the same as the low-mid plat range, perhaps with a slightly lower incidence of outright trolls and crazies.

They extended the bell curve. The problem people are having is they think S2 rank == S3 rank. And it doesn't. The numbers are now more spread out. If you were on the low side of the bell curve your SR probably went down. If you were on the high side of the bell curve your SR probably went up. For the most part anyone around 3k SR S2 probably saw an increase in SR. Anyone around 2.2k probably saw a decrease. If you were in the middle (like me) you probably didn't see much movement.
