Mei with a Zarya partner is an incredible force. With Zarya's bubble Mei can basically constantly iceblock/wall enough to never die while fucking everyone up.

That's almost everyone with a good Zarya who is paying attention though. I do agree, I've had some pretty sick Kings Row defenses on the first point as Zarya with a Mei who just goes ham and splits them constantly. It's so hard to kill a Mei who is being watched by a Zarya

Mei has become my go-to for dealing with super annoying/aggressive Dva players.

My team got rolled on Anubis in like 1 minute flat, I was playing Junkrat... then as offense we took both points too but 3 mins longer... on next round I went Mei and shut down their wrecking ball. Was pretty intense though. We were definitely underdogs. Ended up getting a DRAW which is a win in my book.

Solo queue in comp seems worse then last season

I had a team spend 90% of their energy raging against a guy who picked DVa and my Hanzo. Between the two of us we basically won both rounds ourselves. They kept raging even after potg, 3 golds, and 60% participation. Some people just want to bitch, I guess.

I agree solo queue is scary ATM around 2100-2500 I have seen some bad team comp. I some coworker told me 2500-2800 is as bad. I'm hovering at 2400 and will pause a bit I play mainly Lucio/Zen. I won't do my S1 error and try to hammer through during the first 2-3 weeks and keep losing ranks. I will let the yolo players plummet a bit and then play alone.

I consider myself an average player but I'm a team player. So far in S2 I got 9 wins and lost 5 I think. It's a good start for me. It's better than what i usually do in QP.

I also wait until they fix Lucio/Mercy rank gain. They says it as been fixed on PTR but I have the feeling it's still as bad. Many peoples are reporting the issue. Kinda dumb that one game my team lose the match and I lost 34 points and the next game I play a crazy game with Lucio and only gained 31 while my friends got 40 ish...

I played Overwatch for the first time since just before Ana came out. Normally I used to suck with Hanzo, his buffs are pretty nice, I was having a great time with him last night.

Hahaha, watched Seagull on YouTube. Someone on his team told him to stop using Hanzo. :)

Just have to ignore people complaining about champs. The only criticism I ever speak is if I think we'd be better off with another support, but I don't call out anyone. Team comp is fairly good to have on lockdown but at anything approaching pub play, the people on their strongest champs are usually gonna win anyway. I rotate heroes a lot based on map/enemy comp/our comp but I have like 8 I play relatively well so I can generally get away with it, and they're mostly diverse enough too.

I decided winning outweighed the annoyance of nerdvoices. I turned on voice, but I've yet to hear anything. Is there some extra step?

Are you solo? If so, you'll automatically be in party chat. Other players, if grouped, may not be unless they manually join it.

ended up at 2226 with 5/5, never got voice to work

Only a couple of the games were close. Usually it was a terrible team on one side or the other, so mostly luck of the draw.

Honestly the placement matches seemed to always be horrible. Once I got calibrated, they improved greatly. Just solo queuing, I've been able to get up to 3100 so far.
