i'm trying to work out why my rocket passenger module has 32k gas per tile. if my poor space man wasn't in a suit he'd have exploded ears:

Is there a tile of low pressure hydrogen or po2 floating around in there that will let the vent open?

Or, do you have a container of oxylite on the bottom floor so the CO2 is allowing it to offgas?

you're really going to enjoy going full autist in this game, you can't really go too full autist with ascetics but boy, with engineering systems... whoa nelly.

hmm i see some natural gass here, i wonder if a farter came through. i'll just install a pressure sensor when space man gets home and.....one day it will have a normal amount of oxygen

man, old slime lung was a horror show. i still build inordinately careful around slime.
Same, although I haven't played in quite a while at this point. Always used a waterlock instead of a traditional airlock and stored slime in a submerged storage container so it can't offgas, although that's really just common sense for preserving anything that you don't want to lose to offgassing.

yea. they have since added a small container that doesn't offgas, though i think autosweepers won't pull from it. so i made this fancy mushroom ranch and i don't think it actually works right:

Your airlock will solve the issue if you then pressurise the room with CO2 to prevent offgassing. Other options include putting the slime in bins that are standing in water, or fertilizing the farm tiles from underneath.

While it wasn't especially hard, after just getting done playing Rimworld this game not shoving ever increasing armies of raiders at random locations around the map is making the whole thing feel pretty chill. Everything feels very deterministic and bounded, quite a big change.

you tend to be the one to fuck yourself in oni, rather than an algorethmic increase of invaders.

hubris, thoughtlessness, melting points will get you.

I've got my natural gas geyser up and running. It's weird to play a game with ostensibly non-renewable resources where every conversion results in a loss of mass or energy. I'm drowning in resources but them being finite is unsettling. Getting something inherently renewable makes this much more of a chill game. It's generating most of my energy needs while also suppling oxygen. Once I figure out chlorine it can also provide water. My next goal is to figure out salt so I can make some spice to give strength buff on my food. Or something.

I wish I could find where to get plastic from. I've found a few volcano geysers, a cold water geyser and a natural gas geyser. I imagine there's something similar for petrol.

I actually played this largely for the first time today. Put a couple hours into learning with one run, then started over. Progress so far. Hell of a game, can't believe it's taken me this long to get to it.

It's my all time favourite game, as is obvious from the obscene amount of hours I've got in it.

Yeah, now I've got 7. I'll have to read through the thread. I have absolutely no DLC either, just the base game.

Base game is decent but SpacedOut really completes the game. The other DLC are purely optional.

i did really like the content added with ice planet and cyborgs. some of the ice planet gizmos are handy, and the drones from cyborg are fabulous.

also, this is something i don't know! does an atmosuit retain germs on the suit itself? i want to fuck with that story element with the bio-bot and i need fucking zombie spoors. does an atmosuit which goes into a zombie spoor room, come out of hte room with spoors on the suit? or only if the dupe inside takes the suit off while in the danja zone?

You can come out of a room with spores on the suit but that doesn't matter as there's no way of getting the spores from the suit into breathable air. Breathing infected o2/po2 is the only way to catch zombification.
If you're really concerned you can fully enclose the room before planting, then either diagonal plant or use a sweeper to plant the sporechid(s).

Cycle 125. My nat gas geyser clammed up right when I started using it... So I found another one I'm tapping. I also found a water geyser. I was using atmo suits on the right side but decided the hassle wasn't worth it on the left and the dupes could just suffer instead.
