I've got a 8 Wiz and a 7 Ench now. Made the Wizard because getting a group is just hard as fuck in Wild's End. I might try and run the Enchanter over to civilization, but it sounds dangerous.

Someone else in this thread mentioned it - lots of people came into this game knowing grouping would be necessary. Lots of tanks and healers around. Most groups need an enchanter and dps.

I leveled my ranger up to level 8 today. It’s a cool class. You’ll find groups.
As an enchanter I’m getting like 10 tells an hour to join groups. People thirsty as fuck

So they put out a patch here this evening. So many UI changes. But namely, I think one of the devs was in my group at HC today listening to me bitch about the UI. Most everything I talked shit about is changed, like the food and water not being so fucking big anymore. lol

Patch Notes January 4, 2025

General

Added the "Disable Sky" option to the Graphics tab of the Settings window which allows players with Nvidia 900 series cards that are having their screen turn black to disable the sky rendering, which should "fix" that black screen issue for them.

Increased XP a bit for mobs below your level.

Added /rest as an alias for /sit.

Adjusted the hunger and thirst UI elements to not take up a much space.

Characters should now be returned to bind if the player is unable to enter the world with that character and is disconnected after the three-minute loading timeout.

Warrior banners are no longer targetable, so will be skipped over by tab targeting.

You can now start dragging a corpse from a little further away.

Added "Disable Click to Clear Targets" option to the General tab of the Settings window. When this is checked/on, clicking in the world won't clear your offensive or defensive target, you'll need to hit the escape key to clear targets.

World

Additional supply crate spawns have been added to Thronefast. Happy scavenging!

Treasure chest spawns have been adjusted to be less predictable.

Quests

Rabid Dusk Bats in Avendyr's Pass should now be eligible targets for the quest "Night Warden Pt. 4"

The quest "Stop the Trapping" in Avendyr's Pass will now give credit for all varieties of Shady Outdoorsmen

The quest "Chef's Attire" in Wild's End will now update if you speak with Kaia in Sorhiryth. If you have this quest in your journal, you may need to abandon it and retake it for it to work.

The quest "A Secret Map" in Thronefast has been adjusted to start and finish with the appropriate NPC. If you have this quest active in your journal, you may need to abandon it and retake it for it to work properly.

NPCs

Wildwater Geckos should no longer have inexplicable powers of flight.

The Spider of Ill Omen has learned not to lurk directly on the path between the Shaman starting area and Availia in Thronefast. Instead, it now lurks nearby, the better to pounce upon foolish adventurers who stray from the safety of the path.

Several of the rogue trait vendors have switched allegiances and should no longer feel compelled to attack rogues seeking their services.

Sefira in Demith village has acquired an updated inventory. It's best not to ask her where it came from.

Wanderjim R'odel has had second thoughts about his rock climbing activities and now can be found in a much safer position.

A new carpenter has taken up residence in Demith village.

Wizard and Shaman Traits are now available in Demith village.

Fixed some elf NPCs that had hair sticking out of their helmets or hoods.

The Ghostly Riddler now only appears during appropriate hours for someone in his condition.

The Blackened Wood Bo Staff should now properly receive its second attack.

The Slagwood Bo Staff should now properly receive its second attack.

Mountain Lion Blood and Bat Blood should now both be usable in the alchemy kit.

Centipede Legs and Centipede Mandibles are no longer incorrectly flagged as alchemical reagents.

Wispweave Wristbands now equip to the correct item slot.

Vesperhide Shoulderpads now equip to the correct item slot.

Royal Honey will now provide its secondary benefit even if you are already at full health.

Brigandine Bracers will no longer masquerade as a pair of gloves in the player inventory.

The drop rate for rat whiskers has been increased.

Vendor purchase prices for crafted armor have been adjusted.

The Grimey Metal Great Mace may no longer be equipped in the off hand.

Gathering

Several gathering nodes in Avendyr's Pass that were previously inaccessible due to terrain changes have been adjusted to once again be accessible.

Mining, woodcutting, and harvesting nodes have been added to additional areas in Wild’s End.

Salvaging

The Worn Dagger may now be salvaged with the appropriate tool.

Weaponsmithing

The schematics for crude weapons and their components should now reflect the actual skill needed to craft the item.

When crafting a Champion's Greathammer, the components should now be accepted as valid.

Crafted hand-to-hand weapons should now be created with the appropriate damage values.

The schematic for the Might-Runed Maul Head is now available from the Raven Trading Company.

The schematic for the Might-Runed Knuckle Bar should now properly specify its ingredients.

The Simple Pommel Weight schematic should now accept all of its materials.

Skill level requirements for Weaponsmithing schematics have been normalized, and the skill requirements for many schematics have been reduced.

Common-quality schematics have been added for weapons at skill level 30 and skill level 60. These new schematics are available at weaponsmithing trainers.

Armorsmithing

The following schematics are now available from the Raven Trading Company:

Prowess-Infused Chain Gauntlets Basis

Might-Infused Chain Bracers Basis

Resilience-Infused Chain Bracers Basis

Skill level requirements for armorsmithing schematics have been normalized.

Common-quality schematics have been added for chain armor at skill level 30 and skill level 60. These new schematics are available at armorsmithing trainers.

Common-quality schematics have been added for plate armor at skill level 60. These new schematics are available at armorsmithing trainers.

A large number of uncommon-quality schematics for cloth armor and light plate armor are now available from treasure chests in level 20+ areas.

The refining schematic for brass ingots may now be purchased from the armorsmith trainer.

Fletching

The schematics for crude weapons and their components should now reflect the actual skill needed to craft the item.

The schematic for the Fleetness-infused shortbow limbs should now accept a Celestium Dust of Fleetness

The schematic for the Long Hunting Spear should now properly accept its components.

Skill level requirements for fletching schematics have been normalized, and the skill requirements for many schematics have been reduced.

Uncommon-quality crafted staff weapons (for caster classes) now use Focus Carvings instead of Weapon Cladding in their construction

Common-quality schematics have been added for cudgels, staves, fighting staves, shortbows, and longbows at skill level 30 and skill level 60. These new schematics are available at fletching trainers.

The schematic for the Thick Leather Bow Grip has been moved to the Outfitting skill. If you have this schematic and can no longer use it because you did not choose the appropriate profession, it can be traded to other players.

Leatherworking

When crafting a Sellsword's Cap, the basis should now be accepted as a valid component.

The bulk cured leather schematic now accepts low-quality scaled hide.

Skill level requirements for leatherworking schematics have been normalized, and the skill requirements for many schematics have been reduced.

Common-quality schematics have been added for leather armor at skill level 30 and skill level 60. These new schematics are available at leatherworking trainers.

A large number of uncommon-quality schematics for leather armor are now available from treasure chests in level 20+ areas.

Tailoring

When crafting an Adept's Gi, the basis should now be accepted as a valid component.

When crafting an Adept's Headband, the basis should now be accepted as a valid component.

When crafting Adept's Legwraps, the basis should now be accepted as a valid component.

When crafting the Scholar's Tunic and Scholar's Robe, the basis should now be accepted as a valid component.

Schematics for Seeker's equipment should now create the correct items.

The Channeler's Shoes schematic should now create the correct item.

Skill level requirements for tailoring schematics have been normalized, and the skill requirements for many schematics have been reduced.

Common-quality schematics have been added for cloth armor and martial cloth armor at skill level 30 and skill level 60. These new schematics are available at tailoring trainers.

A large number of uncommon-quality schematics for cloth armor and martial cloth armor are now available from treasure chests in level 20+ areas.

Bug Fixes

The embarrassment of saying "/" in chat for everyone to see is no more.

Fix for nameplate chat bubbles showing messages that they shouldn't have been. Sorry, folks, but the days of ore nodes asking if you have any coal, or deer telling you to f off, are no more.

Fixed an issue where item tooltips would sometimes show the wrong use text.

Fixed an issue where some abilities were expending items that were stored in the bank, instead of in the player's inventory.

Fixed an issue where quests could sometimes be completed more than once when they shouldn't have been.

Buffs will no longer land on mobs that are evading.

Possible fix for mobs getting stuck in evading state in certain situations.

Fixed an issue where mobs that are in combat would sometimes get stuck in a state where they would stop fighting.

At level 6 what should I be doing?
I made Musicforfish a suit of gear, and you're more than welcome to get a suit of it as well. Just hit me up on one of my characters. With a shield, should put you up around 117 AC. Without, I think its 102AC. If you have a Celestial Dust of Might, I can do a higher end wrist. But Im sorely lacking in most of the Brigandine Schematics. Matter of fact, I think I might just make a post on the Pantheon Forums looking for them. Hrm...

Decided to buy it. Definitely has EQ vibes, only problem is that I can't play the fucking thing. I lag and rubber band like crazy even on a low pop server and it looks like I'm always running in slow motion. May need to refund it unless there's a fix I don't know about.

Make sure Vsync is set to 0 in game, also ensure it is off in your driver software. This will fix the problem.

I was getting ready to say the same thing. All that sounds like to me is that people in WE are going to have an easier time getting to TF if thats how I think it works?... WE Noobie area is fucking awful.

ANYWAYS, just checked Steam Charts - Record high right now. Getting ready to crack 6k.
