All time high concurrent players, 6507 at this very moment on steam alone and my mains guild is full of people that have the standalone client / early adopters. Of all the people that arent logged in, myself included right now - all the people that said the game wasnt for them. All the people that put the game down because they dont have time for it. etc. etc. ... I'd say the game is doing pretty damn good being in Alpha, growing and hitting new records every weekend.

I’ve heard a bunch of people say WE sucks, others say it’s the optimal starting zone. I think it is more dependent on a static group than TF.

I’ve got a halfling ranger in WE. Level 10, have not grouped up at all. Haven’t actively sought one, either. There’s plenty of mobs to solo grind on, in my experience. Definitely doesn’t have the Thugs -> skeles -> goblins route for groups.

There is lots of group camps. Too many. It's probably awesome with a static because it's empty and very few groups grind there. With the amount of wandering around I've done I could probably lead a group to lvl 20. Goblins, feralings, elementals, random bee camps, water goblins, orcs...

It's not like total garbage either. I had a fine time to lvl 8, plenty to kill near the town, got a geckos group and a goblins group which took me to lvl 8. Had free reign of some skellie camps which helped me farm silver. But since then I haven't been able to muster more than a 3-man and there is just nothing to kill in the 8-10 range. It was last night when I started to notice how empty the zone gets past lvl 7-8 and almost everyone LFG was in Thronefast.

At the very least if they changed these random small outdoor camps to normal mobs, there would be a mob ecosystem to support small groups and soloers while waiting for a group. But as it is there is practically nothing I've found yet beyond the lvl 4(?)-8 geckos. And I started to realized why people bail or start in TF.

Every time I organized a group and worked to get it going, even shard hopping sometimes if necessary, it worked.

Most people sit around with the LFG tag on, don't ask to get on a list or try to organize and give up.

Heals and tanks are hard but for Halnir I found ppl who will perform the interrupt and DPS role seems just as rare. Good thing wizard has both interrupt and knock down to carry a lot of it.

Last they say working on grouping items then share bank or mailing. Hope its not 6months away omg.

Lazy ass players who can't bother to interact with other people to form a group (or require a perfect group) is as classic MMO as it gets.

Been playing some alts, no wonder my first impression of this game was bad. Literally every single class other than necro was more fun. That class is insanely unpleasant, helpful, or focused. People say it’s support, but not really unless you fight undead or want to cast nothing while mezzzing a single mob.

i think my opinion of pantheon actually improved now that I’ve played 3 other classes! I am still waiting for Druid so may need a new guild invite when that’s released

You can apply dots to primary target then mez on multi pull

Play necro mez off wizard root or rogue trap after applying your dots in a group

Rogue staying in stealth is a cc machine and necro is great playin off it

Halnir is very undead :)

I know, got necro to 12. But as a class it simply is not fun And solo was painful.

literally All 3 other classes were more fun, easier, soloed better, and was more effective in group. Necro is just not a good class atm.

it may just be due to dot damage, but honestly it feels like a deeper problem.

worked well paladin wizard, there was very low pop before this steam EA release so just made my own group. There were not any restrictions, just had to install separate instances of the game

We are definitely crushing it. The server gerbils, I mean. They need to figure that shit out ASAP. Throw more gerbils at it or whatever, but the servers crashing out every other day needs to get put at the top of the priority list.

Lifetap is actually your nuke as well. The damage on it is on par with shaman nukes, and the rest is your dots and pet. Don't discount the power of stat drains as well. This game is faaaaaaaar more stat based than EQ ever was. Fighting melee mobs? Suck their STR. Caster mobs? INT/WIS. Etc. I need to do some more stuff on necro soon and actually try out all their undead spells.

Once NEC pet gets taunt I would think solo goes off the charts. That is really the only limiter at low level.
