This. Or the other 100 ways it could be somewhat "exploited".My worry is more.:
Guild: "Hey guys Raid mob X isn't up"
XserverScout: "It is up over here"
Guild: "Keeeel"
So now you introduce a whole new ball of wax. (Supposing they do follow through with open raid targets)
Quaid's idea of it being extremely limited to friends list makes my pure X server hatred cool a little , but there's issues like this , like bringing high end loot back and forth to trade and sell and so on.
Yes you could then make things not tradeable when you are X-server'd and so on , but it goes down the road of they have to come up with more and more rails to make sure it doesn't cause issues in some way.
I think this small of a dev team , even if money bags drop from the sky , shouldn't be considering any sort of system that makes the world seem less "world like". They have far more important things to get right and in even 3 years down the road.
I also want them to severely limit the number of servers and stick to it. Make sure they aren't moronic and not have a queue system (idiots at SE with FFXIV ARR comes to mind) and I'm fine with waiting an hour in a queue at launch to get in. Make the servers somewhat packed and no X-server stuff is my preference.
