I didn't get to bed until 3AM. fell asleep on the couch with the little guy on top of me, still whimpering when he fell asleep.
Tylenol helped initially, but damn it was bad. He needs that first tooth to pop through for sure.
I'm on 2 hours of sleep today and it sucks. Wife was at work last night, of course.

If it makes you feel better it passes pretty quickly. He will have some hard nights but it's not a months long thing.
How old is he? If he is over 6 months he can also get Ibuprofen. You can alternate Tylenol and Ibuprofen. 10mgper kg.

Give the kid a 5,because you can't buy anything you would allow them to have with a dollar. Giving a kid a dollar is just like throwing it in the trash.

Alternate one every 3 hours max. No less than 6 hours between the same med.

Obviously dosage is important. MG != ML. 10mg per KG. 11 lb kid gets 50mg. It's basic math but many people can't math.
Ibuprofen is a better med all around. It deals with reducing inflammation which is the a primary factor in the cause of pain instead of just trying to block the pain like Tylenol does. When a kid goes to the hospital the med of choice is generally Ibuprofen or toradol. Ibuprofen is a great teething / fever med. Tylenol is a nice supplement if needed.
Definitely bring it up with him.

Kid was born a week ago. Been home with him and the wife eve since.
He is pretty easy so far, about 3.5 hours for the entire wake - eat / poop - hangout - sleep cycle.
The wife has a genetic condition, osteogenesis imperfecta, and I'm terrified he might have it. Going to have to get him tested soon.

Yeah a kid young enough to be losing teeth and having a tooth fairy is going to be brought to buy trinkets at the dollar store and thrilled about it.

Wife had twins on 9/21. They are amazing but neither of them will sleep at the same time and she is pumping to keep up with their feeding. Thankful that my mother in law has stayed with us for the last month since it really seems to be a three person job at this point. The good thing is that I banked 7 weeks of vacation and my awesome employer gives 8 weeks paid parental leave.
