ah, gotcha. Are they at the same place or located in other places?
You return to the trial of sekema or the uh, ultimatum guy, and put different junk in the macguffin at the door to do the harder runs.
I think.

Okay I'm gonna start Cruel when I get home tonight.....is there any differences from the first time through aside from higher levels? Do you get different rewards for the side quests or should I just worry about the main quest?
Just follow the main campaign quest again. Nothing special about it - most of your maps have the same directional heading for exits/POI's just for a heads up. The amount your character scales during these levels outpaces the Cruel difficulty by a large margin, so you should breeze through it within a handful of hours to end game.Okay I'm gonna start Cruel when I get home tonight.....is there any differences from the first time through aside from higher levels? They implemented it on the tokens now to say if you'll get upgraded points from it or not:Do you keep doing trials to get ascension points or something? I guess I'm lost on that aspect.
I think it's for all the stuff like ignite shock and chill which counts up to give you the status.Permanent Stats From The Campaign

speaking of, anyone know what elemental ailment threshold is? don't see it or stun threshold on the stats page
Thanks, yeah shortly after I posted I went into the options when the gamepad was in and was able to activate that setup. When a controller is active you get more UI options, I don't know why we can't get it when playing with KB/M.
To be clear, you can get it on PC if you have the controller enabled.
Those exist. They're all over PoE1.I hate this philosophy a lot, there needs to be easy builds that are "good". They dont have to be great or the best in the game but they should atleast be good mappers up to T16, sometime you just wanna slay some demons and get some loot while chilling. Having to pay 100% attention at all times is what will eventually kill this for me.

PoE2 is a different game and they've said repeatedly that it would be.
That is fine. But the criticism here is over longterm replayability. Which should be the most important thing to GGG. Lack of chill and rewarding gameplay is a significant issue for that business model. Those exist. They're all over PoE1.

Old Kripp saying what a good amount of those in here have been saying.
High maps have almost no viability because it all revolves around you using the dodge roll iframe to avoid instadeath. No matter how high your defenses are. High reward chill playstyle is simply not present the longer you play.

If you want to get OP and grind out yellow maps and chill I think that should be an option or goal. But with red maps I don't think a player should ever be able to just turn their brain off and chillax their way through them. Nothing wrong with having the absolute top tier of gameplay reserved for the autistic, hyperfocused dudes that can play at a higher level. I say this as a dad gamer that's ok with not being able to defeat that top of the pyramid content.
I think it's like he says. Having dad content is fine if it lets you still meaningfully progress. Just at a glacial pace. You can't do that here. Any content you can Dad your way through provides nothing for you.If you want to get OP and grind out yellow maps and chill I think that should be an option or goal. I recognized this the second I killed off Count Orgham or whatever. You have hordes of players saying the Executioner is too hard to beat. The fun in Dark Souls games of grinding to kill Melania or any of the hard bosses is that you KNOW you only have to beat it once. It’s f2p but has no hook currently to get people to open their wallets.

Literally nothing? You get zero loot? No currency? Yeah, that probably needs to be fixed then.I think it's like he says. Having dad content is fine if it lets you still meaningfully progress.
