Went Witchhunter for my Merc this time. Grenadier feels really good and is online by level 30. Gemling Legionnaire will undoubtedly be stronger when the remaining abilities and support powers are in the game to be exploited. If you run that today its just weaker as Witchhunter is very straightforward in its power.

For passives race to Adrenaline Rush as its effectively a permanent movement speed buff on top of your boot buff. Then get the Grenade ones along that same travel line.

i have not traded or anything, would have went ssf, but don't know if you can on console, it doesn't show it as an option. i watched couple vids about 3rd party trade overlays and i don't think i ever cared about a game enough to deal with all that hassle. reminds me of one my friends that would spend all day sunday in ec tunnels buying and trading.

yea i'm inclined to think so too. i think the world will be fine with it. i think it'll just bring down the price of everyman items (which i tend to use) but exponentially send up the price of things like mage blood (which i do not use). so it'd work out great for me!
The bots don't sell things in the AH per se, they use the AH to generate currencies that can be sold off-site for RMT. Its already happening in POE2, and the Trade Forums facilitate it as much as any in-game AH would. Bots and their owners don't care how they get Ex and gold to sell, they just farm the things they need to sell to get RMT.

An in game AH would just make it easier for players (just like increasing drop rates for those things in-game).

I appreciate that when someone whispers me to buy something its auto highlighted in the tab now. Helps a ton having 1ex quad dump tabs.

Just to highlight how dumb I am.

After unlocking the second Ascendancy I gave it a shot a couple of times at level 40 and couldn't make much headway. So, decided I'd get a few levels and come back later. Mostly because I kept seeing that X/10 in the debuff selection window and thinking to myself that there was no way in hell I could make it through 10 rounds.

Fast forward to level 51 and just remembered I never did it. Go back and promptly walk through 4 levels to find out that's all there is. Oops. Oh well, more Ascendancy points for me now.
I went back at level 50. Failed twice before getting it. Bad rolls really fuck you.

And regarding items, crafting just feels so terrible and worthless. For a while I was picking up bases, but then I'd look at it, think, there's no way I'm wasting a regal and 2-3 exalts on this item to make it good when I can just buy one with everything I want for 1. Who the fuck is putting the currency into these items to craft?

Maybe it makes sense for super end game items, but for anything below lvl 80? I'm assuming there are some people doing it and losing their asses, but it's just a terrible system. I don't remember POE1 crafting outside of dicking with links, but this seems like a massive step back. Which is ironic since it sounded like they wanted this to be a crafting heavy system.

I don't think this is accurate. Can you provide a source where they wanted to implement instant buyout for non-currencies?
It was a Zizaran interview with Jonathan, it was before Settlers of Kalghur though and they hinted about the currency exhcange then as well. They might have changed their mind since.

Found the secret to level a monk, start with Lightning Arrow untill level 14 then go Ice Strike. Having much fun!

It was this interview. I dont know time stamp.

its yet to be seen if an integrated AH will lead to some sort of bottery that causes prices to inflate wildly vs what we have right now.
That's why tying the AH to gold is a wise idea. Then it forces you to actually play the game, instead of just generating currency via bot item flipping/manipulation.

Sure, it still requires GGG to go hard with banning automated farming, but that is one area they've been pretty good with in the past.

I still say that getting some crafting knowledge and going SSF is the better solution though. I finally converted over to SSF during Settlers league and I'll never go back to trade league until they implement some form of AH.

I think they missed an obvious flaw in crafting. For every base, you only need 1 aug/trans/regal. The drop rates for these seem to be in a decent place. But no one is going to use a single Ex and settle for a 4 affix item, so every craft has to assume you'll need 3 Ex. Essentially they need to at least triple the Ex drop rates to make me consider crafting.

This is not how end game crafting is done, this is only how its done early game. End game is Essences/Omens.

Lesser Essence to go from white to Magic more deterministically. Greater Essence to go from Magic to Rare more deterministically. Maybe some Exalts, then Omens to finish/modify existing currencies to do certain things.

Act 2 about 3 quests in, btw. How the fuck are you supposed to deal with this at lvl 22 as a melee character?

They need to bring alchs back too. Making them more rare than exalts and chaos is straight up retarded.

I'm not referencing end game crafting as end game gear is going to go for dozens to 100's of Ex, I'm talking about spending 3 Ex to craft leveling/mapping gear versus just buying a decent 6 affix for 1 Ex

If you stand in the middle you don't get mana drained. Otherwise it's up to you not being jank in build/gear and doing damage :]

Witchhunter has been awesome coming from Titan. Much smoother gameplay and a bunch of good ascendancy nodes.

Also, really wish I didn't slam all my fucking exalts into leveling gear. What a dumb ass!! I need a new weapon, but maxxed out my cruel weapon and am now just trolling for orbs to buy one on a website. Much game design.

I'm confused, cause I've heard this mentioned several times. What do you mean by alts?
Orb of alteration. It rerolls both affixes on a magic item so that everything isn't bricked after one pass of trans/aug.

Yeah, all these trade league cucks bitching about trading should probably be in SSF.

SSF requires more crafting knowledge, but with how anal GGG is about "player interaction" in regards to trading, SSF is the best way to skip all that bullshit.

That would be cool if crafting actually existed but currently its just exalt and pray, there's really no knowledge other then which bases to hide in your filter, and Omens feel really shit to use. Get back to me when there's Alt Orbs or fossils or harvest juice or crafting bench or beasts or conq/awakeners orbs or betrayal or essences worth a shit or whatever.

Regardless they wont change it, they want trading to be a pain in the ass, at least currency trading isnt aids anymore. Still not thrilled Item Rarity is BIS stat again, but with map monsters not really having HP scaling its whatever, you really only need damage for +4 Pinnacles.
