Ha. Well that's definitely true. But like I said, I was buying stuff up the last two days at 1ex each. Suddenly everything jumped in price to divines. Maybe it's just dumbasses hoping to cash in and their stuff never sells so they reprice it again in exalts though.

RNG gonna RNG.This is consistent with my experience in POE1 leagues. There's an initial wave of everyone racing to the endgame, and if you progress more than one standard deviation slower than the bleeding edge by the time you need endgame gear you're on the back end of the wealth curve competing with all the "serious players" for the same gear. For a few weeks nothing is affordable, then towards the end of the league everything is free because no one cares any more and all the farming has inflated prices to zero real value.
I know they won't, but I really wish GGG would reconsider its stance towards playing the campaign. I tend to avoid leagues because the campaign overhead approaches a meaningful percentage of my total available playtime. At this stage in life I don't have 10 hours to throw away just to get to the "real" game.

Almost all the actual melee isn't in game yet. The warrior/mace is not great since it's focused on stun, and monk/staff have a bunch of ranged stuff so while it's better it's not exactly only traditional melee.

Such amazing gameplay super wow... they should of just made a fucking trading simulator and thrown the ARPG side in the trash that way all the bots and chinks can win.
If Solo Self Found simply gave more drops and better affixes, I'd never play their other versions.

I mean, there definitely has to be a "happy" medium or otherwise you get D4 where nothing means shit and it's the most boring gameplay imaginable.
That's why I'm firmly in the camp of "do it once each season" so that it's not just some throwaway thing that doesn't matter, but not so prohibitive that rolling a new character seems more frustrating than it's worth.

I play SSF because I find trading super unsatisfying, even if it means I never get S-tier gear.
I imagine I'm not unique in that I can devote maybe 4-5 hours a week to any specific game. In a 13-week season the campaign represents a 2+ week commitment, or 15-25% of my total playtime, and that's if you know exactly how to rush. That's right on the edge of the point where I'd rather not play than do it again.

Would be nice if you could earn mtx through ssf or some other incentive, but that would cut into their profit model so it'll likely never gappen.

Wtf, how you freezing packs without Freezing Shards/Eye of Winter linked to Chain? You don't even have Elemental Storm procs with that Ascendancy.
With Frostbolt!? It's so small, I have increased AoE on Coldsnap so I can use it to kill whole packs. Hopefully I misunderstood and you meant one or the other?
Obviously bosses you can use Frost Wall.
