Having just gone through the experience...Just use a bow. You aren't tied to weapon type based on class and xbow is clunky dogshit comparatively.

FYI: The stash tabs are back on-sale for the weekend for those who are wanting them. I am probably probably gonna upgrade to the $60 pack or maybe the $100 pack even though I really am not impressed with the barbie doll dress up skins for either. Unless someone is feeling generous and wants to send me the $500 milk your wallet pack for no reason so I can buy more stashes than anyone would ever need.

Yeah I had no idea, THINK this one was called Dustbowl, but you're right.....seems there is a few others I never saw either.
Keep reading people saying you need to not fail corrupted maps and then you have a way better chance but to me the citadels seem like pure RNG, BUT I'm also not always winning first try on corrupted maps.

For crossbows you want lots of attack speed (attack speed also affects reload speed) and reload speed to get it to a point where it feels good. Crossbows can and do feel good (if you're doing herald cheese) with fast reload speeds.
Key is to choose an XBow base with fast base reload speeds and then stack as much attack/skill/reload speed as you can to get it down to like .35s or better
EDIT: This is what you're looking for. You can use the Painter's Servant unique gloves to make Explosive Shot shock so you can use shockburst for bosses before you can use Three Dragons, then switch to Three Dragons at 41 when it becomes equippable.

Yeah, I could put lifetap on another skill. I was just hoping for something more consistent as I don't press those other skills often. I want that life flask active 100% of the time so its sustain is reliable.
Mana flask suffix is taken for charge sustain. And, I haven't checked yet, but I bet it doesn't let me use the mana flask at full mana either.

I swapped to this last night from gas grenade, just looking around for something different to do. While I’m only 75 and didn’t really spend much swapping out gear (maybe 8 exalt), it definitely seemed like good potential. I still have complaints about explosive shots reaction / firing to button press. Maybe it is just me, but there’s a non-zero percentage of time where it feels like it just won’t fire. Not because of reload or some other type of action cancel. It just doesn’t shoot.
Need to tweak it some more but it is a good change from gas grenades. Took about 200k (?) for the respec since we were discussing respec costs. And I’m also struggling with stats so had to buy a necklace with +22 to all attributes.

Its not just you. There is a bug with crossbows where it basically stops reloading then has to reload again, for no reason.

I got this 2h mace that’s like 400 physical on tool tip, put it in 5 exalt stash not a single tell, if it was anything other than war I’d be flooded with tells.
