Ok,
New pet peeve. Something else that needs work.
The rituals.
Why...the...fuck...do...the..points...not...carry...over????????????????
Why are there things I cannot purchase as part of the choices? Why do some maps have 3 rituals and others have 4, if you are offering me stuff that costs more than what is available?
I presume I am missing some instructions. I have deferred a particular highly sought after item but cannot seem to ever afford the damn thing.
So I have to kill the king to advance the ritual map? Also if I defer the item, the new cost revolves around how much I used to defer it? Does this stack? This is where they should have done a better job tutorialing them during Act 1 when they show up. You get points from killing the monsters, but the revived ones from the rituals give less points, so at the start you need to defer the good stuff so when they show back up they are "cheaper" as in you spend points deferring then when it shows back up they cost "less" points at the time even though overall you spend more.
Once you start interacting with the atlas tree part of it, you can make it always have 4, and have revived monsters give more points and cheaper deferrals. I wasnt a huge fan of it in PoE1.
If you really want to make a go of it, it is probably worth buying King runs to get atlas points since getting the boss is too rare atm, then the mechanic gets better.
Can some of you poe1 nerds explain how leagues work. Do they just reset the entire game and everyone has to start from scratch? Do expansions come out with new content? Are they paid or free? Like what's the normal yearly cycle for poe1 and what you'll assume they'll do with poe2?
Do you get access to your banks on a new league? So, could I have gems and items stashed for the new league?
Every death I've had in this game, post 85, is just some instakill where I don't know wtf happened. I'm hoping the visual effect changes they discussed in the patch video will help in that regard. Like I just explode and I'm like...well fuck. I seem to go from amazing streaks, clearing like 20 t15 maps without a hitch, to then dying 3 times in a row and ragequitting because I just lost half a level that already took me forever to get to. Experience loss is gay, but I must persevere. So how does that Unique belt work that boost stats from rings? Do you just multiply the stats you have on each ring with the mod on the belt and can theory craft what you might get that way?
Also, just got ass raped by some Hasted Rare fucker in 1 split second. 13k ES gone in seconds. Have not died in maybe 60 maps.
RIP experience towards lvl 95. Back to 32%!
The worst part is I saw this might happen, got stun/block locked and paused the game. Then thought, "I'll just roll out and the minion cucks can kill him!". Yea no they hasted even more and raped me into the ground.Every death I've had in this game, post 85, is just some instakill where I don't know wtf happened. It's a more valid retort to complaints about XP loss in POE1 to say: 'deal with it', 'get gud', or 'gear up fgt', because there was every option under the sun there to become nigh-unkillable with the right set-up. The trick was also doing any DPS while doing so.Not holding my breath on this one. It was my chief complaint about POE1 and everyone kept saying it was the pinnacle of possible gameplay.
