Thought they would have fixed whacking your own vine arrows with a cultist greathammer since it could easily be construed as a bug. Build still relies on Porcilkeln for clear. Still melee build. Why again can't melee strikes move while attacking like other skills?

Patch notes feel empty for how long they are.

Deaths 1 (preventable I played poorly against a prox/plant/freezy boy). 3rd ascendancy complete (never saw a token for the fourth). Zero gear drops (all vendored/gambled for high life then exalt slam for resists. Used around 125). Stopped gearing when I hit T10 as I was at 30%MS/3KHP/Max Resists and let RNG take the wheel. No greater jeweler drop and failed all my lesser vaal corrupts so 4L all the way. Scariest boss at level (forgemaster, would skip until higher level next time esp in HC). Zero issues with map sustain (lots of reforging and mob dense maps to maximize drop chance) though starting from scratch is tedius af. Avoided towers completely unless they were needed to get to a boss. Could have probably knocked out a T15 by the time I was L76-77, but started fishing for T15 drops when I hit T10 maps by spending what was left of pittance of exalts on getting 300%+ waystone quant on my maps and only bossing. I feel confident I could get to where my standard war is within a week if I wrapped up atlas and did some juicing.

Why you should play SSF. We have potentially 10 years of this shit depending on the ARPG landscape. Set yourself up for success now by learning how to speed up your campaigns and min/max your way into red maps while we have the time in a dead league where the only people still farming currency like it matters are the RMTers. Even if your style of play is a copypasta of whatever guide you can find you will be a better player by spending some time now. When you hit a wall you don't even lose anything. Just transfer to trade and have at it.

Nobody said it was impossible. You were being a disingenuous faggot that's why you took on the mantle to play ssf to prove to yourself you could do it. Guess what, nobody gives a shit. You seem to think this game requires skill when all it is is a time thing.

Well, I kind of expected them to double and triple down on the RNG aspects of the end game and to add checkpoints as a sign they are very, very married to this approach (and will ignore the actual complaints people have for as long as possible hoping the playerbase at large changes its mind).

Lookin more and more like I'm just never gonna get into end game in PoE2 because I really... really dislike this approach and entire philosophy.

Call it PTSD from all my years playing games that rely on RNG to "be interesting" and inevitably 90% of the outcomes fucking suck and you end up fishing (and failing) for the other 10%. It's just an awful, frustrating experience every time.

Absolutely amazing in a patch with a 90% buffs that they manage to nerf a fucking melee skill. This company is a joke and I may truly not play POE2 if the sword and axe skills feel as bad as the mace ones. Shit, the absolute shit state of armor even after this 15% buff makes it unappealing as fuck to play.

Never even seen a Greater's. May just sell this for a couple Divine and upgrade a piece or two of gear since I can't use it on a 3 socket I guess? I dunno. Probably just bank it.

That is another aspect of the game I am not a large fan of. I understand the need to make the orbs kind of rare but I think they are just to rare. It detracts from the ability to experiment with different builds if a person cannot 5 socket gems due to super fucking rare drops. I still need one more for the build I am trying and have not had one drop for a week. I have not even had a greater orb drop.

There is too much random in this game and its getting a bit obnoxious.

Thankfully most skills dont really NEED all links to be viable, but yeah they should absolutely be less rare. At this point I have dropped around 8-10 raw divs and still have yet to see a single Perfect orb. And ideally my build needs at least 3.....shit kinda sucks.

I know I could buy one but would much rather drop my first.

6l being where they are probably makes sense. 6l in poe 1 was pretty rare, and basically only expected to be 1 item, due to chest. (or 2hweapon)

so you aren't SUPPOSED to have 3 6l's at once. they probably could lock you out? limit 1 6l?

5l need to be way more common though. I also got a 6l before a 5l, and couldn't even use it... that was stupid.
And then.. if I want to change builds, or anything shit out of luck. the 5l/6l are on frost bomb. if I want to swap to chaos degen. get fucked. if I want to swap to 6l cast on crit, get fucked.
if i want to put that frost bomb IN cast crit, get fucked.

Some people of course suggest, it should be linked to skill slots, not the gem itself. which. maybe. but then that locks it to character, and can't be traded to alts, or sold.

5l is also, limited to 1 or 2 in poe 1 as well. so again, supposed to be rarish. but I think its too much.

Damage reduction = armour / (armour + damage * 12) * 100
They changed the 12 to 10 for this upcoming patch

Life regen was useless in PoE1 outside of RF builds and there seems to be even less of it in PoE2. Can't carry multiple instant life pots anymore. And it seems like leech is even worse than PoE1 too but I don't have a lot of experience with that in 2 yet but what I've seen isn't encouraging.

Life regen got better when you turned it in to ES regen.

The entire skill gem system needs an overhaul. Feels very much like several people had very different ideas on what the skill gem system should look like and were all unwilling to relent so we got this terrible amalgamation of "compromise"

Imo they should just add a bunch of life on melee/attack notables in the warrior area so you get some incidental life%. Would ameliorate their concern that newbies don't know to pick up life.
And then armor should get some actual hardcoded damage mitigation, i'm thinkin if you're character sheet says your estimated armor is 80% you get 1/4 of that value as a less damage stat sorta like a fortify/endurance charge replacement
