Tower minions are getting nerfed, not sure how much it’ll matter. Til now though, yeah, I just spam minion towers when I bother to even do a blight.

Like i've mentioned before i played totem hiero first and coc magma orb deadeye currently and regular map blight do seem pretty balanced to a tad too easy if you dont have a boss. Blight Bosses are mostly misses for me so far though and theres no way i bring them down unless i get a little bit lucky and can strand them somehow so i can spend 2 minutes on just the boss. I do have more room to grow my dps but it feels like you would need very, very overpowered dps to be able to do a boss with minimal amount of or no turrets.

I agree that currency seems harder to get this league than last few.

Also did they patch the resonator drops. I'm getting 1 and 2 sockets now. Was only getting 3 sockets before practically.
Is this Mathil's build? Currently leveling one but an Assassin instead. The thing that annoyed me the most about the build last league was crit inconsistency. Kinda like area skills that leave straggler that effectively make you cast twice as much. I'm shooting for 100% crit on my trigger skill so I can get rid of that "guessing" game.

Yes it's 98% mathils build, just routed the tree a bit differently to get acro/phase acro and got kaom's heart corrupted with +% damage and crafted crit chance over focus double dmg %chance on the bow (he actually mentioned these things in his video even though its not how he built it in the end).
Lacking T3 inc fire dmg +ignite chance, will craft it on when i get it, Also want to get the crit + frenzy on crit crafted on a quiver but dont have it yet

On anything that makes me stop mid map (so its bleeding and shocked from skitterbots) i should have over 95% effective crit chance, but yes it is annoying how it just wont trigger sometimes. Let me know how it goes.

I dont understand how he stands playing barrage when tornado shot is just so much better feeling and it will shoot the magma orbs all around you if there are mobs all around you instead of just one direction with barrage. It is hard fitting slower proj with it though cause you need gmp and the balls being slower is a big boost for most things. Thinking about dropping ice spear for slower proj but will wait for some vorici white sockets before i try that.

Did you try the other gem setup for Heralds, I wanna say using GMP and Spell Echo, that makes them prioritize their ranged attack? Maybe it's been changed but I remember many moons (leagues) ago they'd focus on lobbing hellfire with that setup whereas if you used Multistrike and something else they'd prioritize leap slamming bitches into the ground.

Problem is like most of these spectre skills, it has a cooldown, so you can't really build around it. Like they do fine at aoeing since their main melee attack is cleave, it's just they have to run around back and forth and they use the leapslam which while good damage is pretty slow and overall I don't know how good it'll be. Could be fine though, I'm gonna try with skeleton melee splash instead of ruthless see if that's enough and then switch back if it.

All you guys on your 2nd and 3rd characters, and I just killed Kitava.

I'm enjoying the league mechanic and my totem build, but I don't think I will be pushing for any challenges this league. The MTX are horrendous!

Are skitterbois better than zealotryfor this build?

He uses Barrage likely because it's "good enough" for clearing. IIRC, you could definitely feel the dropoff in single target with TS. I too like TS for clearing.

Do you feel you need Slower Proj and Barrage for anything except Shaper level targets?

Are skitterbois better than zealotryfor this build?

He uses Barrage likely because it's "good enough" for clearing. IIRC, you could definitely feel the dropoff in single target with TS. I too like TS for clearing.

Do you feel you need Slower Proj and Barrage for anything except Shaper level targets?

My primary reason for that was that i just dont have the mana for zealotry cause my accuracy is so bad i need a max level precision. Theoretically though on single targets skitterbots with a 20% shock should be better than 15% more zealotry. Zealotry gives some spell crit chance but thats not where you really want it the most and if you see my pob i got gloves with +57% crit chance on shocked enemies and lvl 20 precision gives more crit than a level 1 precision too. You also have some bonus chill effect. If i got a level 4 Enlighten and anointed charisma on my my amulet i would probably get flesh and stone before i considered zealotry.

Ya i change out my gems for guardians and shaper, it just feels really clunky and i have problems hitting stuff cause my aim is off. I looked to see if there was a mtx for barrage to make it more visible but couldnt find one, that could've helped my problem with it i think. No matter what I wouldn't classify this build as a great bosser.

I had slower proj in for mapping before i got empower. And it felt nicer running around with a slow moving wall of death than it does with one that shoots of to the moon and might skip a mob next to you attacking you to maybe kill one 3 screens away.

Tempered Mind is great for accuracy, just gotta change your pathing a bit.

Crit chance against shocked enemies is not a bad idea, I'll look into that. So much of Incursion gear was forgettable.

What do you think is holding this build back for bossing? It certainly has the dps. The defenses are...decent to good.

I had dismissed Flesh and Stone based on their patch notes.

No longer reduces all Damage from non-Blind enemies, and instead reduces Damage from Attacks from non-Blind enemies.

Reading just the patch notes, that makes me think Flesh and Stone is not good for this build since it's quite easy to blind everything with your trigger ability. But that wording also conflicts with gem's text in 3.7 AND 3.8. Nowhere does the gem text say "non-Blind" but just near and far.

I made a character and gave up at act 5. I made a new one last night and finished act one and I'm thinking of dumping it again. I don't know why I can't motivated. I'm eaten up with meh for some reason.

Hadn't thought of tempered mind, it would hit 5 int travel nodes if i just placed it at the templar jewel whitout any rerouting, the only place it could be better is at witch and that doesnt seem worth it to me cause you'd max out at 6 nodes anyway (or 7 if you skipped the health near there).

For bossing, when it comes to DPS alot of it is the aiming for me but a big problem is also that they might move before your balls get to them. I'm pretty skittish about face tanking stuff cause theres no mitigation (armor, evasion, fortify, endurance charges etc) built into this build, so on average you might be fine, and you do have sustain for the most part with vitality watchers eye life on hit. But i find myself insta splatting a depressing amount of the time. Especially if the map mods are bad enough even with my current 7k hp.

So i thought about flesh and stone, compared to dodging, blind would give 50% evasion, and that has entropy so its more reliable than dodging. I would've prefered an actual damage lowering ability, but there's nothing within easy reach. Blashphemy enfeeble would be great but thats too hard to fit whitout hitting curse limit, mana limit and gem socket limits. So in lack of a better alternative idea at the moment, flesh and stone would help face tank bosses and with turning a corner and getting gang banged by a group of range monsters that all shotgun you.

The nerf just made it worse against spells but its still the same against attacks.

I'm very curious what you mean with "...it's quite easy to blind everything with your trigger ability." What ability do i have that does this? I'd really like to know.

Tempered Mind almost always goes in witch gem slot. The pathing is specific though, you basically can't path through the middle of the witch area. Helps to pick up some of the other stuff along the way, like power charge half wheel and an extra curse. See the PoB I posted for reference.

With Elusive and Blind, my guy will dodge/evade 90% of all attacks. I don't really think my gear is unreasonable either. Deadeye can get comparable numbers but it requires Vaal Grace, so not sustainable.

So the patch notes for Flesh and Stone were just poorly worded?

Get a couple 5% blind on attack abyss jewels(searching or murderous). 10% chance should be enough to blind any target that lives through initial contact. Even better though is to drop Empower(level 6 is only 48% more) and the +2 to support gems affix on the weapon. Replace the gem with Inspiration(40% more and some crit chance, so almost as good as level 6 empower) and the affix with phys%/blind% affix. This gets you up to 20% blind chance on attacks. I haven't yet determined if this conflicts with fire%/ignite%.

Replace the gem with Inspiration(40% more and some crit chance, so almost as good as level 6 empower) and the affix with phys%/blind% affix. This gets you up to 20% blind chance on attacks. I haven't yet determined if this conflicts with fire%/ignite%.

I'll be honest i didnt check your linked POB till now, but, unless im stupid i think you linked my pob code.

Anyway, what i can see when it comes to tempered mind in the witch slot. Theres 9 total int nodes around it. The least amount of int nodes you can take to get to it is 2 by coming from underneath it through the aoe, minion or spell crit clusters. So you're left with 7 if you skip the life, thats an iffy choise for a life build, so realisticly like i mentioned in my previous post you max out with 6 unnallocated int nodes if placed in that jewel slot. For what its worth you'd also negate the int nodes taken to get there. The templar is just an easy 5 nodes.

So flesh and stone whitout reading too much into the specific wording used in their patch notes, should just be

If near then blind
if far then -x% attack damage

they just added the attack word to the function of the skill so now it excludes spells.

Level 4 empower with +2 support adds 60% on pob for magma orb, 47% ice spear.

Like you say though maybe its worth it to take phys + blind chance instead of fire +ignite chance (they definetly conflict with eachother). Would work less well on stuff that jumps you obviously but better on stuff you want to kite. To be honest though just the aesthetics of this will probably prevent me from going this route.

You're right about empower for magma orb. I might have to reconsider that. But I really like Inspiration.

If phys% and fire% conflict, I'll have find something else. That last prefix slot is kinda of a crap shoot.

I made a character and gave up at act 5. I made a new one last night and finished act one and I'm thinking of dumping it again. I don't know why I can't motivated. I'm eaten up with meh for some reason.

To entertain doubt is to dance with death.

Thregin Thregin more TS vs Barrage ruminations.

IIRC my TS mechanics correctly, you have to aim your TS behind a target for it to be able to be hit by the initial volley and then the resulting secondary arrows. Both of these hits represent the spells you want to proc, so in order to keep them on cooldown, your attack speed has to approach 1/(0.15/(1+CDR)). This is a hard APS for this build to achieve, so hence the switch barrage for single target.

Calculating the APS needed for barrage is a bit screwy since it's not a smooth amount of projectiles. Let's ignore that for now. No extra projectiles(your Dying Sun is out of charges), means you need 2/(5*0.15/(1+CDR)). This is a much easier APS to achieve.

Scourge Arrow might be worth considering. The delay on the pods will be screwy, but if you've used the skill before for clearing, it's easy to adapt to. Channeling for only 0.15s though, not so much.
