I'm struggling to progress on maps though i feel like i fucked up.

Basically i finish 1 tier of maps fully, then move to the next. I don't really farm out the next tier of maps before moving on. Now i'm stuck around midway tier 7. I started just running all my T6 maps and i've been catching up though

This league I had great RNG and that's what I basically did and got to T10 without stopping, doing Zana shit along the way without buying maps from people. I did buy a lot of maps from Zana though and got lucky a bunch on what she sold, what dropped and what I got from Zana daillies, completed all the white maps minus one easily, yellows I was missing like a dozen and eventually got them when I started farming T9-10s for a bit. But other leagues I've had to buy a lot of shit, honestly really depends a lot on your luck.

And yeah that mod is really good. It's not too hard to get either, although fossils are pretty high this league since poison is secondary meta. With the right fossils though you can get a flat chaos+double poison+attackspeed in a few rolls then craft phys% on it and you have a top tier weapon.

So ran all the red Blighted maps today and figured I'd try to track what kind of currency I got. So first I bought the maps, I think it was around 350c total for the 5 maps, one for each tier, needed the challenge. T15 are horribly overpriced. I alched them but didn't put much more into them cause I don't even know if it does anything on the chests, so no crazy 130%maps, which might have been better, but I also didn't want to fail them because of stupid mods and what not.

At the end, using currency cop, it estimates I got about 700c worth of stuff. A LOT is like 1c or half a chaos in random garbage though(essences, low tier currency and so on), so it's not a straight 700c, there's no way you're selling all that as is, it'll combine into larger stacks that become sellable a lot later(like essences 3>1 conversion). The bulk of the money was from oils. I got 2 silvers, 2 blacks, 1 opalescent and a bunch of lower oils. I also got 35stacked decks and a lvl 2 empower as the random stuff. I could have gotten lucky with rares too but didn't, I looted probably around 30 or 40 rare jewels though(all garbage).

Now 350c to 700c might sound good, but it took a fucking long ass time to do these. The maps themselves take like 6-7mins(once timer runs out you still have a minute or two or clearing up shit that spawned and is still walking to your pump), and then you spend like 3-4mins looting cause there's so much crap. In that amount of time, doing it efficiently, you can probably run 3 to 4 maps and get very good currency that way too. Hell pretty sure you can spend 350c on sulphite and run maps to charge up and it would probably result in more currency than that(assuming you're deep enough already).

So overall I'd say it's pretty meh, although it's nice for the challenges obviously, need 1 of each map and you can progress the "Spend Ressources" a lot faster, it's like 25-30k ressources per map and since you need 1.2m to complete the challenge, it's definitely a good way to do progress that. Also is the only realistical way to get Blight unique mobs(and even rare blight mobs challenge I was missing a bunch before I started doing blighted maps).

The 36 decks only had one card "good" card, the 5 chaos one, so yeah not lucky. I did get a pride of the first one earlier from the yellow blighted maps though so that was nice.

Anyway I have way too much currency already and I just want to finish my challenges now. It's a tossup between finding the last exile I need(I'm running 2 prophecies that can spawn 4 exiles and gonna be running some precinct maps tomorrow and hope to get it), finding someone to do the Tower boss mechanic shit because unlike the others where I can use the anti minion kill damage, she phases out at half hp and I can't prevent that and then I still need to do the malformation and the unique map one but those would be doable, or finding someone selling Aul kill then checking if my mastermind spawned at 83 or not(last 2 safehouses were at 83 but not sure how this shit works). Regardless should be done tomorrow.

I should look into how to craft with fossils, i still have no god damn clue about anything regarding the crafting system in this game lol

I still don't know much, I just looked into some specific items when I played the builds and that's about all I know. So I know how to make spectre boots and poison weapons but not really the rest, it's pretty strong though cause you can use opposing fossils to cancel out all their mods(like you can use Dense fossil to remove life rolls then also Pristine to remove ES/armor/evasion rolls, which frees up a bunch of garbage when aiming for a specific rare mod, then you can craft life on it on certain pieces the craft isn't a big loss).

And yeah poedb lets you visualize stuff decently, although it doesn't tell you what comes from a craft or not I think so it's not perfect. For how deep crafting is nowadays with essences, fossils, annuls, crafted blocking/multimods and so on, it's surprising no one has bothered making a website that lets you "craft" stuff and see how it all works out better.

So question for people who might have played some melee stuff. I'm bored and don't really want to get into another game until next week, so I've been looking at stuff to do. I tried leveling a HoAg Jugg but then found out HoAg is indeed as shitty as people mentionned for clear speed and while I could fix it with spectres I feel that misses the point so not gonna bother. I also jumped on standard and respeced my synthesis necro into dom blow to check it out, doing 5-6red maps with lvl 1 gems(it was quite an adventure at first, especially since one of said map was a guardian map). Was pretty fun though so I'll probably do something like that next league. But anyway I was thinking, maybe I'll do the achievements. I have yet to hit 90 on a HC char(I had some 85s but deleted them when I cleaned out a bunch of shit) so I'm thinking I'll make a HC char.

Anyway, question is, what would be the tankiest cyclone char currently? I was initially thinking glad because of block, but slayer might be just as good with the overleech and shit? Would maybe Raider be good with the changes to it? Would jugg be worth it? It's extra tanky but kinda shit for damage isn't it? Champion apparently a thing too.

I'm not a terrible HC player, even though I haven't played HC in years I still tend to avoid dying too much, have less than 10deaths on my necro(a bunch of which were on shit I knew I was gonna rip on, such as Synthesis boss and twinned increased aoe Core), some to Blight bullshit and some to actually being dumb but I could definitely cut on a bunch of these.

Edit: Looking at poe ninja for cyclone on HC, it's mostly 2 archetypes, Nebuloch Jugg and Facebreaker Champion. A few other stuff too but for the basic builds that covers the majority. I'm leaning towards Facebreaker cause it looks a lot cheaper to build, since there's like 15people playing HC so Nebulochs are expensive.

If you want just one, Animate Guardian tends to be the tankiest especially if you dump some cheap tanky uniques like Ambu's Charge and Springleaf on it, can do the usual summoner setup with Victario's Flight and some fossil helmet for debuffs too. Stonegolem would maybe work too and give you life regen in the process(not sure if you have zealot oath or how you're building though), advantage is you can Cwdt it so you don't have to care what happens it'll always be up. Spectres would work otherwise but you'd probably want one of the tanky bois rather than a utility spectre, unless you feel like raising them constantly(which involves fishing with desecrate or going to your hideout).
