If true, I’ll probably be back. The endgame grind was a bit much for me. The damage nerf is meh, though I still think their approach to mechanics balance is shit sometimes.

Maybe I read something wrong, but I’m a casual fucktard that barely plays 1-2hours per day during week and 3-5 on weekends and I thought the summary post here sounded reasonable?
Honestly, I’ve never failed to clear a8 Sirus since he came out within 1 to 1.5 months of league start. That seems really fucking casual. I struggled last league with currency because frankly I hated heist and just didn’t make good use of my time.

Yeah they are cutting the regions from 8 to 4, conquer grind from 32 to 16, maps from 160 down to 100. Doubling the relevant bonuses to compensate.

Hard mode is kind of lol and my first reaction was they really are designing the game for the 5(?) HCSSF streamers. But if it's just Chris doing it then i think it's fine, and anyone that doesn't like Chris having input in the game can perhaps hope it acts as a distraction.
I do think 3.13 and harvest was peak POE, and i think the game is less fun (but still fun) now but i also see the hazard in keeping it in so i don't have the same dissapointment as many others do i guess.
Overall i think it was a pretty good podcast. In particular it seems they will give us more tools to deal with ailments and curses (such as pantheons) and they will cut down the start of league treadmill which is great. Hopefully they can nail the economy issues that grimro discussed in his video that was linked before.

I agree with under one mutual condition: the players being alienated and the developers doing said alienation are explicitly communicative of what's happening. A lot of people on Reddit getting implicitly told to fuck off and they aren't getting the message.
I'm not sure I would lump most people here in that category. Except bubbles of course.

Pretty fucking funny too. In legion I got 2 21/23 drops for very expensive gems that made me give that build a try around them. Now, not an option anymore. So stupid.

An API allowance is not first party implementation you fucking mouth breather. Show me where GGG allows a user to customize their loot filter in game. Since it is not there in the game then surely a video of Last Epochs in-game loot filter followed by Neversink coding his filter on Twitch while not in the employ of GGG should not be necessary to prove how fucking retarded you are. Alas, here we are.

I mean, I took the hint and haven’t touched it. This game is for people of my skill level but more time. It was seriously interfering with my job and my job is fucking dangerous. Even though I clear content each league I played aside from delve when I was learning, I’d still casualify the game just a smidge. Heist or Ritual were the sweet spots for me. Delirium was a great league too.
I don’t even fully have a problem with trade. I just think that the best items should drop from bosses, but I might be just rose tinted glasses remembering d2 that I haven’t touched in 18 years I guess. Core design may just be something I disagree on such as smashing rocks on gear vs finding gear.
I consider PoE to be the EQ of modern arpgs. Maybe someone will make a WoW and all us stupid fucks that just have less time can fuck off to it. Seriously. I don’t begrudge GGG. I just wish someone would fill the skilled but casual time niche. D3 isn’t it. The endgame is not designed well. Leagues suck ass. Etc.
It also might be that 42 year old professionals with two kids might need to give up grind based genres. On the plus side I’ve been putting more time in to stock market shit which is paying dividends. Hah.

I find that even when not deep in the build theory crafting process, essentially done with the league, something else will distract me from work. Usually the something else is nebulous and doesn't distract as severely, so it's easy to scapegoat poe.
Some day, maybe, I'll become that uber disciplined worker that I suspect everyone else but probably actually isn't. Watch out if my job ever becomes as interesting as theory crafting! Programming can be but damn if that ain't rare.

21/20's still drop from multiple sources, just not 21/23's. For most gems the 3% quality isn't anything tangible and for a lot of skills isn't even enough to round to something. That's just kind of a feels thing, the difference between 21/23 is a waste of currency for the rich guys and if you want the gem you've gotta make them yourself from Alva which makes that content which they revamped last patch even more useful/relevant.
