Ideally you'd toss a poison trap at Merveil/Brutus etc then swap to dagger and stack up viper strike as fast as possible. Maybe toss a puncture in there.
It's designed to give you a ranged option utilizing viperstrike chaos/dot nodes.
Additionally most viper strike players are previously used to swapping to their +1 +2 sword/dagger then swapping back to their IPD.
It's more the way it seems to encourage doing the opposite of what players naturally want to do, i.e. clear as fast and efficiently as possible, unless you want to actually trigger these bosses -- unlikely, if Invasion was any indication. Rampage encourages doing what players already try to do, and is actually a new feature rather than a rehash of an already unpopular league model.
Beyond seems likely to end up being largely a non-factor as not only are "sudden, extra hard fights" something that HC gameplay tends to mandate that you avoid, it's also optional and completely predictable now, so it's more like those corrupted areas that nobody does. However, in order to avoid these, you have to not clear packs in one go, which is how most builds normally play.
While it remains to be seen exactly how the mechanic works, it's already known that it will be something the player can choose whether or not to trigger, and something that is triggered by killing enemies closely together. They've also called the portal bosses 'extremely difficult,' and we know how that's dealt with in the HC leagues...

Crit with daggers dual wield block, VS? I might tank that route also if those mods someone posted about adding DW Block are able to go on weaps. That would easily get me to cap and I can flask for the spell block id be missing.

IR EB no MoM, maybe since its so easy to do a 5L coil until I can go ES then 5L a Shav's. Could always do that Lacquered Garb I think it is? I just hate having to spec into mana when LC is 40% mit and so easy to use.

Cloak of Defiance I believe is what you're referencing with intrinsic MOM built in.
I need to take trading seriously in this next league in order to get my hands on any of that stuff.
Need to look into setting up a shop etc.

I had a conc effect remote mine Burning miscreation build in the 1mhc that I got to 72-73. It had pretty good clear speed.
I might look into running conc effect remote mine trap (Sunblast belt) burning miscreation + poison aura bear. Not sure if poison aura bear scales though.
Actually remote mine / trapping minions is off the table in 1.2 due to snapshotting fixes. So there goes that.

I don't know how many tabs you have but I found its easiest to do 1c, 2c, 3c - 10c tabs and just stack them up with goods. Day 1 you can just goto forum, make a store and easily put 1c b/o below and so on for the rest with shift cntrl click. It literally takes like 1 minute to setup a store and saves you the fiasco of the trade channel.
I haven't played this in a long while. Are discharge builds dead? No build was ever more fun than that

Discharge builds have gotten stronger with the ability to corrupt + max frenzy/endurance/power charges on your various peices of gear.
Ice spear has gotten a huge buff like 80% or whatever, with it's innate high crit chance and power charge on crit you can get some pretty neat setups like Cast on Crit discharge builds with blood rage frenzy charges for infinite discharge style setups.
Basically you can setup something like: Curse on hit GMP ball lightning with tri curse (Conduc/Flam/Cold Curse) GMP Ice spear power charge on crit cast on crit enduring cry.
Blood rage etc for frenzy charges.
Ele prolif - Life Leach - Increased AE Vaal Pact Self cast discharge.

I honestly think it sounds perfect for a hardcore league. most HC players don't just rush through content as fast as possible, they are a little more cautious and tend to grind a bit more in order to over-level areas for the sake of safety. The new Beyond League portals/monsters are going to add additional loot and experience to each map without having to grind ledge/docks/whatever over and over as much. Works for me, if I can get to the end of an act a few levels higher than I would have otherwise, then that's great, I hate having to grind one map dozens of times over for exp before moving on.
