Almost a full 2 million kills later and I FINALLY got my 2nd apothecary of the league, definitely wasn't worth it. Really hope they dial back a bit from how nerfed they are -

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure I wasn't being as efficient as possible, but I was running all 8-mod corrupted 40+ pack size maps and taking basically all altars/mirrors/wildwood that appeared, div cards are SUPER rare this league and it makes me sad.

Next is figuring out how the Gravicius Transportation thing works with Syndicate to see if I can hit any lotteries there, lol. Guess I'm a glutton for punishment.

I did Betrayal this league and was very happy with it. Low investment, low difficulty and you always get handed a stack of cards that are at least reasonably uncommon. Getting your board all set up takes time and there's a bit of nuance to interacting with everything but I was not disappointed.

Sorry yeah Betrayal, I am working on it but am not entirely sure how to set the board up. I do have Sir Grav in transportation already but I really haven't done too much with the mechanic yet. Found a video to watch when I have time.

Sounds pretty easy once it's all setup I just haven't tried it at all until this league.

In all these years I have never once done any research or put any effort into purposely directing Betrayal.

Maybe something to look into next league as a point of interest!

If this game sucks, it won't be because of this. PoE has enough credibility to do this.

So, that speaks to the trustworthiness of GGG. But it doesn't address the overall trend in the gaming industry where beta is now early access. The former would either be selective or open while the latter is almost always paid.

Just looked at my list of transactions. 14 in total but only 6 packs. Early ones seem to be just buying points probably for stash space. I like the game enough that I won't mind buying another pack for POE2 if my lifetime amount doesn't qualify for access.

Rumor is the November EA will now only contain 3 acts and whatever endgame activities they have ready, think it was initially supposed to have the full campaign.

Guessing they didn't want to delay again even though the campaign isn't finished to their liking?

could have sworn.. but now I'm also second guessing. I also checked and saw first transaction as silver supporter, not till jan 2013. But I thought I had joined earlier then that. so was it just lotto?
checking the posts in this thread is also confusing. I see myself talking about the game in dec 2012. but its like I had been playing for a while. Also no discussion of my first seeing the game, or its passive tree, etc. so I think the start of the thread was lost in forum moving?

I'm sure I don't have enough purchases. Something like 3 supporter packs over the last 7 years. I guess I'm in the minority I won't get hyped about PoE 2 until someone plays it live and I see it. EQ2 was a bomb to me, though I'm sure some like(d) it.

The PoE2 new info is a bit... huh? The hype around it was because it was supposed to be essentially the full release game with some minor features/end game content not yet implemented.

Who gives a shit about the first 3 acts? Even the streamers aren't gonna stick with that for very long and the next PoE1 league is gonna get delayed over that?

Yeah I dont plan on paying 30 bucks to test out the slow-ass first few acts just to see a small sample of whatever endgame shit they are ready to show.

Going to hold off until they have a full game and at that point I will definitely pay a little to play it early if that ends up being an option.

Not entirely sold off the videos I've seen.....seems too slow for me, but some of the boss fights do seem cool.

Yes it cost $5 to get into the beta if you didn't get a key in the early days. 2011ish.

Wonder what the support $ amount is for free keys. I'm guessing 60 to 200 range.

Well I sure as shit ain't purchasing early access, and was thinking my join month of September 2011 gave me a chance, but with a re-read it's "if you're a whale, you are in". While I have spent a couple hundie over the years, I am not a whale.

So looks like I play PoE2 when all the rest of the scrubs do.

You arent missing much, let them play acts 1-3 and report the bugs....they should have just delayed it again but I'm sure they want the extra $

Well you're buying a supporter pack with a key, obviously if you don't care about the cosmetics in the supporter pack it's not gonna be worth it but if it's a nice looking one it's not that bad, I've bought supporter packs in the past for cosmetics and no key, although not that many. I assume at some point they'll give keys or have ppl in the beta get keys to give like the original though, I remember getting mine for free back when Act 2 was the highest you could go from a mmo friend.

How will I know if my lifetime purchases meet the threshold?​

You can check your past purchases by visiting Your Account on the website and selecting, "Account transactions."

Your valid purchases will include Comic Books and Koala Pets (or any other purchase that was made with dollars instead of points). Points keys that were redeemed on your account will not contribute to this total.

A lot of people have been emailing customer support to ask if they meet the threshold. We'd prefer if you could wait until the Beta starts and see if you're immediately invited, and then contact support if you didn't get an invite but you believe your lifetime support exceeds $500.

I actually have no idea how to run that script... but, can open it and just ctrl-f to manual search for packs and their price.

it lists closed beta prices too. I remembered it around $12.
