What part of the playstyle didn't you like? Hexblast is pretty braindead.

I never really got to hexblast the builds I found all started with traps and mines and didn't really care for it. Seemed clunky. I'm sure the further you get into the build it smooths out. I tried traps and mines before and didn't care for it. Also didn't help the builds I found were mostly very end game bossing and not much on how to get there but started on uber stuff.

Traps I can understand, I've never liked the arming time on them. However, mines don't have that. Were you not automating detonation?

Hexblast mines are great and Locus Mine Power Siphon is also great. You click a couple lego bricks together in act 2 or 3 and it's off to the races.

So I did a couple of Sanctums. I didn't play when it was released. It was okay but I need to research a little I assume to get much out of it.

I just went in blind, not sure if there is anything on the atlas for it or just collect relics and use when needed or have them?

Nothing on the atlas. At the very start of a run you pick which relics you're going to use, they go in the little relic box that unlocks space as you progress and that's it.

Instead of hiring mappers they should have made a map rolling building, the higher the lvl and the higher the lvl or workers the more they can roll stuff off a checklist for a map. The more you level them the more specific you rolls will be. I'm sure it would have to be mega expensive but would be a huge quality of life improvement.

Dont understand how the currency / scarab / map percentages work on T17s. Just did 2 fortresses with 1x ambush / 1x discernment / 1x pack size / 1x eldritch pack size / and 1x bloodlines on 550% currency fortress and got a combined total of ONE exalt and ZERO divines or valdo boxes.

I understand 2 maps is far from a good number for statistics, but does the currency % actually affect anything? I did notice a good amount more gold but aside from that it was terrible and totally not worth it.

Unfortunately my DPS isnt really strong enough to have a chance at the ghosted/pilfering strategies. I actually had some crazy abomination map and the bosses took like 5 minutes just to kill one of the 3 sub-boss phase, at that point I died once and said fuck it, new map time.

Am at the point where I can afford a Nimis, but will lose resist cap and not sure how I can boost it back up. (Tattoos maybe?) Having the same issue with my gear in terms of keeping my str and int above the reqs as well. Having so many uniques in a build makes it really tough for someone without much experience. Am just under 10mil POB dps and feel like I am stuck here due to the above. Might be where I call it quits this league.

Sidenote, how do you calculate the dps boost from Nimis in POB? I know it should be a huge upgrade for me but it shows as a loss when I try and import it / swap it in to test.

Okay I went and bought a Nimis just forbthe fuck of it and, Oh My God the boss damage is sooooooo much better. Mapping is a bit weird since there's a bit of a ramp up until the returning projectiles start mavhine gunning back, but damn I wish I had a way to gauge the increase.

Down to around 50 div but seems to be huge for mega juiced rares and bosses. Lost a ton of over-res but will see how it goes, still have the taming ring as a backup.

Nimis doubles your projectile dps, assuming the randomness doesn't mess with reliability. PoB isn't going to model that.

I don't know either. I put one into PoB on my LS build and the projectile DPS didn't change at all either which makes no sense. In fact I have two Taming rings and replaced one and it went down, either one. They are 30-36% increased elemental damage for each ailment on the enemy. Odd. Obvioiusly not counting the return part.

Damn nice maybe I will try the ubers this league, definitely won't melt em down but I just may be able to finally kill a few.

Borzac, it was the same for me, but it definitely does increase your dps a ton regardless of what POB says.....I pulled the trigger since I was ready to stop playing anyway, but it seemed to make a huge difference.

Red text means "figure this shit out yourself". PoB parses strings of text very literally, there's little to no intelligence. Someone has to add that string to PoB and then whatever code that has to accompany it.

You can test this by going to Configuration -> Custom Modifiers. Add a string you know PoB will parse. Then throw a random character in the middle of it and watch it turn red.

Wait what I thought those red texts meant it was a truly unique modifier. Damn I feel stupid

I'm struggling to think of a red text that is on more than one item, you might not be wrong. If it's on more than one item, it usually gets added to PoB in short order.

In this case, Nimis' return text will never be parsed by PoB. The skill interaction is far too complex.

I didn't know cause I never used one. Just threw it into PoB to see what came up. I know the start of this league Tinctures were not showing when active or at least some of them and that got put in like the next day.

It probably doesn't even count bouncing off walls ;)

So if my usual DPS was around 8mil proj and 8mil melee, with Nimis on bosses it should be around 24mil? If so thats awesome.....makes mapping feel like you always have the random projectile eater altar, but the burst seemed worth it in a few things I ran last night. (Regular eaters and T17 bosses)

Projectiles cannot hit a target more than once, there's nothing for PoB to do in that case. Return is special because it specifically mentions...somewhere in game...that returning projectiles can hit the same target again.

This is lightning strike, yes? Depends highly on your positioning and somewhat on your scaling. For scaling, I'm going to assume you have little projectile or melee specific scalars.

If you melee the target, Nimis will add a projectile hit to your melee hit.
If you stand a bit back and let an extra strike melee the boss, Nimis will add 2 projectile hits to your 1 melee and 1 projectile hits...unreliably. My recollection is that testing Nimis on a stationary target, I would sometimes get 3 hits. This is why I said "double your projectile dps" originally. The randomness of the projectiles plus bosses moving around suggests it might be closer to 3 hits than 4(I'm not doing hit testing during a real fight).
