Two verisum bars plus a little dust three times every fifteen minutes is pretty easy. You always get back some scarabs and a runes. It's also exactly the kind of busywork I hate engaging in even if rewarding.

Yeah, I was just being facetious. Even playing to 100 I never did max shipments and just dabbled around fulfilling orders. I still made more divs with just that than any other league to date.
Is this still going to have the old ascendancies?
Work buddy of mine wanted to get into poe2, but I told him to hold off for this instead. But i assume spell totems/minions are his best noob friendly build.
That being said, if heiro, necro, etc are gone in place these new classes, I have no idea what to suggest.

Good strike skill Ancestral Commander and Surfcaster both look pretty hard to fuck up.

Surfcaster going to be like, 50% of people's starter builds. Probably rightfully so. I hate meta shit and even I'm like, "Hmm.. go fast AND shatter everything everywhere?"
Casuals gonna find out spark ain't great for single target without omega gear though once they start bossing with it.

I think Whisperer will be way more popular than surfcaster. multiple top streamers and a ton of people on reddit are talking about whisperer more than surfcaster or scion.

Whisperer is bait. Indigon will be expensive, the build really doesn't function without it, it has ramp(unless you sacrifice your arcane cloak), and the feedback loop is a bitch to tune.
Someone posted a comment about boneshatter with the 100% of phys taken as node. No idea the merit of that one, but it is interesting.

What build doesn't function without Indigon? Mana Forged Arrows? Most of the mana stacking builds should function just fine pre-Indigon. It's just that it's a completely overtuned item and immediately sends your damage through the stratosphere when you get it.
I'm fairly certain way more people are going to play things like KB of Clustering on Whisperer rather than MfA. That's a way simpler build to understand, has probably the best clear in the game, and functions fine pre-Indigon as well.
EDIT: Also, looks like Palsteron is gonna league start KB of Clustering Whisperer and his guides are a lot more popular and easier to understand than Conner's.

I think you can get by on Whisperer early on a few different things. It is crazy powerful after all. But I also agree that a bunch of people are going to get baited by a questionable league start guide combined with hype. Someone without a good working knowledge of the that side of tree plus the relevant mechanics, skills and items is going to have a tough time.

Yes, MFA. The issue I keep running into is getting +damage% without Indigon. Getting dexterity and mana spreads the build kinda thin.
I didn't try KB without Indigon. My recollection is that the single target wasn't impressive. Or maybe that the screen clutter was so damn high that it accentuated the unimpressive single target dps. Got a PoB?

The WIP PoB? Looks like about 4M dps when you account for it hitting twice and returning. I'm having trouble comparing his PoB to mine, but I think this generally what I'd call a "Starter". 6L on a non-unique chest, 4 T3 affixes, nothing more than 10s of chaos per slot, up to 1 div if the build requires it to function.
IDK, I'd toss a "Starter" PoB for that level of single target DPS. That said, I'm also really picky and 4M was much better than what I was managing on any "Starter" MFA build.

If you want single target early you can take the Crown of Eyes ascendancy passive and 5L both KB of Clustering and KB of Frag (used for single target)
The KB of Clustering single target damage should be fine for map bosses though, even in T16 early.
Also, it doesn't need 7k mana to early map. You will still be very strong at ~3500 mana. 2 Mil damage with 1-2 overlaps on the explosions and high attack speed will be insta clear even in non juiced T16s.

Dead at 82 in hardcore
Learned some new stuff for crafting since standard's economy is turbo fucked. And I honestly don't think it should be necessary to get to 90. But more importantly, holy shit is RF fucking boring. I'm going to try this achievement again at some point, but with a different build.
