Summoner is not particularly fast, nd the power increases more at higher levels.. If I was going for the lv65 challenge. pretty sure I would do something else.
Frost nova>stormcall probably one of the fastest/easiest.

Ahh thanks, btw if you use masters on low level items it ups the req lvl by quite a lot. You cant just add ias or dmg to items without it upping the req level by 3-7 at lower levels from what ive seen. Uniques are still a bit of a ways ahead at the same levels.

Summoner is a lvl 65+ build. It's too slow at lower levels as cali pointed out. Flameblaster/Arc/Stormcall + Herald of ice is the way to go

FWIW, I just picked up a silver branch and put conc effect faster proj poison arrow and it was pretty fast.

Anyone have a Greater Multiple Projectiles on Beyond league that they would sell me? I'll happily pay whatever the going price is.

Need it to test out my tornado shot build

Tora has one for sale in my hideout for a regal if you haven't found any. I'll be online in about half an hour.

Thanks for the hookup Krag...

Man, tornado shot is nice. It feels like I'm in an FPS using a shotgun, lol. One click, BANG, screen is cleared. I'm at level 50 in Act 3 Cruel, and Tornado shot is listed at 950 tooltip DPS. Well, that 950 is each arrow, but with GMP that equals a total of 20 arrows. 5 for base skill + GMP that 100% pierce, then those 5 split into 3 apiece that shoot out in all random directions.

So at max effectiveness, assuming I shoot into a large pack of mobs and every arrow hits something(not even counting that the first 5 can pierce, and I'm using a pierce gem on the others) Thats 20x950 = 19,000 DPS per shot. It's even pretty decent against single-target rares and bosses, as 2-4 arrows will usually hit 1 large mob if you fire just slghtly behind them. I tore down Cruel Vaal before Vaal could even disappear once, Vaal tried to summon 2 waves of mobs, but the Tornado shot was mowing them down all over the screen, and it mowed down Vaal as well in about 10 seconds.

Good stuff. Thanks to whoever put the insane physical damage bow in the Beyond guild stash. It was a level 34-ish bown with a +119% physical mod, and + 11-24 extra physical too. It pretty much tripled my DPS when I started using it, and still haven't found anything better in 15 levels.

Might have been the bow I couldn't sell. I've got a 5L bow sitting around too if you want to take a look at it.

Have 2 chin-sol's also if you want to figure that out.

Im really happy with TShot now at 42ish, the mana cost was insane having to use potions nonstop but now its on cruise control. Ive been mapping with my RL buddies who one is Pound on the 90 ranger and he crits and knocksback most map bosses to death before I engage them.

Did you setup a puncture also Joe?

Right now I only have 4-links, so I'm running Tshot/GMP/Pierce/added fire damage, and I do run a puncture too, puncture/projectile damage/faster projectiles/slower projectiles(odd combo with those last two, but speed-wise they kinda cancel each other out, but both add extra physical damage). And obviously support everything with herald of Ash. Between added fire damage and herold of Ash, almost anything that doesn't die from the initial Tshot blast, then ignites and burns off that last 10-20% of health pretty quickly. Goddamn I love herald of Ash so much, I wish that would have been in the game all along.

I haven't made my way to the crit/80% knockback node yet, but it's in the plan for later. Right now my crit isn't high enough to make that worthwhile quite yet.

yeah. made a few alts. A ball lit witch, tornado shot ranger, and a new fire aoe witch.
Ball lit witch was really underwhelming. don't like ball lightning at all.

Tornado shot is pretty great. that ranger is 46 with no deaths on rampage. Real strong/easy.

But, also got a few uniques that I wanted to make a char with, so the aoe witch is my alt atm.

Rime gaze and pyre. Tried to come up with a number of fun builds with them.
Basic option was the obvious. take a typically aoe cold spell and turn it into fire.
less obvious is ignore the small +cold damage, use the burning and auto 5 link conc efffect on any normal fire spell.

Also less obvious, make use of a melee splash and physical dps. conc effect will affect melee splash. And hatred is cold damage. So hatred converted into fire, and herald of ash is alot of fire damage.
weapon elem damage, added fire, and elem proliferation too?
Really considered this.

ended up going the more typical witch. Frost nova, with chance to ignite, and elem proliferation atm. +aoe for the 4link. Massive aoe burn.
Prye is only level 11, so thats used early.
paired up with flame surge. flame surge will likely be in the rime gaze, for conc effect on it. not sure if the nova or the surge is the ideal for the 5link.

Need some defensive advice. I'm running a ranger that is using heavy physical-based damage (puncture and Tshot) on Beyond mode

I have two basic choices for defense(using grace aura in both cases):

Acrobatics/Phase acrobatics - stats at lvl 55: 6112 Evasion, 59% to evade, 40% to dodge, 30% spell dodge

Iron Reflexes - stats at lvl 55: 4778 armor, 59% armor, 5% evade

While the Acrobatics looks pretty damn nice, especialy the 30% spell dodge on top of maxed resists, I'm a little worried about my physical damage reflect and having zero armor in Merciless difficulty and eventually maps. The Iron Reflexes route also gives me 2 more skill points to use elsewhere(more HP or whatever)

Thoughts on which is more viable towards the end-game?

Acrobatics all the way, but Ondar's Guile is a must have passive. It doubles your evasion against projectiles, and this includes reflected damage. With your grace, decent evasion from gear, and ondars, you have something like 92% or more evasion for projectiles. Of the around 8% that still land, your acrobatics will dodge 40% of them. Oh, and don't use Lioneye's Glare unique bow, since it will make 100% of reflected arrows hit you.

Even with such major avoidance against reflected projectile damage, with basically 0 armor, even the tiny speck that do get through will still hurt. Cast on dam taken + enduring + immortal call + increased duration will stop you from 1 shotting yourself, and will give you 2-3 seconds of immunity to react. For normal reflect packs, just take them slow and try to focus down the named with reflect aura. For reflect maps, spend 1 chaos and buy a 45-50%Blackgleam.

Definitely Acro/Ondars for ranged crit. Should be near immune to phys reflect that way.

Might be able to toss in MoM/Cloak of defiance/Lightning Coil for the hits that get through.

I am 79 on rampage and on my TS crit ranger, i have Acro and Ondars and I die extremely fast to phys reflect if I'm not paying attention. So I would like to know what I am missing to be near immune to phys reflect
