Are you running a lootfilter ? I imagine some of the endgame ones will want to filter out T1 maps.I can't tell if I'm going mad or if I'm just really unlucky. I've farmed dried lake on merciless at least 20 times and I've gotten zero map drops. The only map drop I've gotten was a rare one from the rare map which is a reward from a4 quest line. I recall last time I played I was getting crummy white maps from around a2m onward.
I had the same suspicion so I run with it both on and off. Still haven't seen anything. I need to find a shitty white T1 map to simply test my loot filter works. I'm running NeverSink and it claims to not filter out any maps of any kind. Are you running a lootfilter ? I imagine some of the endgame ones will want to filter out T1 maps.
You like mmo's so im pretty sure youll enjoy PoE, it has a steep learning curve but ask questions and we can help. Think of PoE as D2's true successor but that made sex to a deeply technical MMO and they had a child. The part I love other than the complex builds is that there is actual raids in the game that are no joke and are gated behind keying. So for someone who has never played this before, is it worth starting now while I wait for the new D3 season?
One of us who plays it regularly helping you out with some gear and tips on leveling will make it much much more enjoyable. Another good 2 streamers to watch are Mathil (high end builds, raid) and LiftingNerdBro (Easy effective HC builds). The forums is a good place to start under each class look for the guides with a lot of responses like 10+ pages. Those are usually the strong builds for the current meta.I always end up trying this out for a couple hours and quitting because of the sheer magnitude of options and being lost.
Might give it another go, been watching Ziggy stream (ON MUTE) and enjoying it.

The map gods heard my whining and I got 3 drops this morning. You like mmo's so im pretty sure youll enjoy PoE, it has a steep learning curve but ask questions and we can help. @Tenks what Pyros said is right, you have an XP meter on the bottom which tells you how much XP per hour youre getting. Nothing really beats Dried lake because of the setup and density until mid to late 70's. Middle of the pack builds will do 30ish million an hour, high end builds go closer to 80-100million xp an hour. I can also throw some maps into our guild bank for you man, any of us mapping already have a page full of them.
Just find a build online and blindly follow it. The tree is overwhelming but realistically you only want to stay in certain sections depending on your build.Holy fuck this skill grid thing, what am I even looking at.
