Played some last night with a friend. We hit 9 or 10 or something and both of us agreed we felt incredible weak. I was a fire totem Templar and not sure what he was (witch) . Give it another shot later.

The start is slow, kinda like D2/D3, but every class gets a skill that is pretty much spammable until the endgame.

Blasphemy +2 curses still reserves only 35% mana, right ? I want to run Warlord's mark+Assasin's and I just want to be sure before I drop the orbs for Doedre's ring.

Oh damn it. I was feeling so smart. Back to saving up for Divinarius/6link

Do people play on standard league anymore or is that pretty much dead?

Standard is dead until near the end of the new league, HC standard is always dead.

Blasphemy with two curses is great for some builds - just not every. I am currently playing a Firestorm witch (82 atm in TSC) with Pledge of Hands + Kaom's Heart, sitting at a nice 7200 hp which is only going to go up. I use blasphemy with warlords mark + fire curse as there's really no auras I want. My damage is amazing and the survivability is great. I currently have 4 endurance charges but plan on getting 1-2 more from templar/marauder area (Took one from bandits). Thinking of adding in a cast when damage taken immortal call for even more beefyness.

Oh yeah, firestorm is great. Every build that deals high damage and allows you to stack ridiculous amounts of life seems to be so good. This one has almost as high QoL feeling to it that my Block/Incinerate did during the Ruckus league

I came across this while looking for something to listen to while grinding maps (got an exalt, build almost done !) and it's like these guys are playing different game than most of the playerbase. Like hell I'm ever going to see any of the new OP items.

I put a bunch of white talismans on page 8 if anyone needs to eat them

I was eating lunch so I tuned into a PoE stream for the first time. I wasn't even 100% sure what was going on. Dude was burning Chaos like they were nothing to craft his maps. He'd just run around and clear everything and another player was in charge of picking shit up. He was doing a map every like 2 minutes.

With my new found knowledge watching that podcast the streamer was playing vaal spark build. Just clear the map and picking up items kills your clear speed so you have lackies who are in charge of that.

Also the people on the podcast were shitting on wild strike but I started at 2H wild strike duelist this morning. I'm on merciless now and he's still wrecking. Granted I have about 3ex invested in the toon at the moment.

I enjoy wild strike on my melee guy. It has built in aoe with decent coverage, so it saves you a gem slot, and the single target dps isn't terrible either so it can be your one and only attack move easily. Because it does all of the elements randomly, it may not be the best skill endgame because you can't focus a build around maximizing one type, but yeah, it's one of my favorite melee skills to level with.

My wildstriker was ele buzzsaw style and the one i'm doing now is going to be too. It's probably not as effective as phys or 2h but it was super fun when I was playing my last one.

later on in the game you will burn through chaos a lot, especially if you play hardcore. You need to roll good maps with high quantity/pack size etc to sustain your map pool. It's a good thing to get wealthy early on in a league because you need that wealth to be able to level effectively. I played with a guy in warbands (I supported him) and every map was basically: 4 chisels, 1 alch, chaos until good mods, then put on Ambush (12 more chaos) and bring a fuckton of alterations/augmentations because we need to roll +magic monster on every map. Each map probably cost about 20-40 chaos depending on luck. It adds up pretty fast but we were able to sustain 80-82 maps that way

Also, I'm not really rich this league as I rerolled after hitting 78 on my first character, but I've already gotten some exalt items (Kaom's heart, 5 link pledge of hands) so don't be discouraged. It's more about playing the trade game effectively; sell high, buy cheap. If there's 100 of an item you want listed, message everyone and try to haggle. Someone will always sell. It's especially effective if you don't need the item right away

If you haven't already, set up Acquisition. First thing I did was make a tab called "10a", and I throw everything in there that is 'decent' like popular normal gems, low level uniques that aren't worth more etc. I price this at 10 alts and it's surprising how much alterations it nets me, which is awesome. Can't have too many. Do the same for chaos, like 1, 2, 3, 5 chaos tabs and just put in decent uniques and rares there. Easy way to build a stash of currency while you play

Yeah, I'm sitting on like 50c right now and I'm debating whether to get Tabula Rasa, 5link with stats or just save up for 6link armor/Carcass Jack. Already got a Divinarius.

I settled on Blade Vortex with elemental stuff on top and Blasphemy with Warlord's mark to sustain. since I'm running just a 4link, it gets a bit slow on badly rolled maps, but apparently Abyssal Cry goes really well with it, it basically evaporates half the screen at stone circles/shrines, since you get +%chaos in the shadow area and it removes corpses so necromancers/corpse explosions are not a problem. I think I blew up a t2 talisman boss in like 1 second. The only issues is curse immune maps which are a pain, basically have to make huge pulls and rely on mana flask + mana on kill. Oh well, 4k HP and steadily rising, I'll probably have to start alching maps, since I'm stuck at t4/5

Is there a guide out there for when/how/what to 5-link? The greatest difficulty I have in POE is finding a 5 link.
