newb question though, im looking at some dudes build who uses herald of ash, hatred and arctic armor.. that would be 100% of your reserve though, is there a way around this??

Yes, you can link your skills to blood magic if you don't have Chaos Innoculation, use Soul Taker if your primary skill is an attack, or up reduced mana cost of skills to 100% (no one does this). Alternately, you can reduce the amount of mana those skills reserve through the passive skill tree or items like Alpha's Howl and leave just enough mana to perform 1-2 attacks/casts before going out of mana while relying on mana leech/mana gained on hit to replenish it in those same attacks/casts.

You can also not use Arctic armor until you have some ways to do the things listed, since AA is not really super important to anything but endgame.

I'd say mobility is a big problem as well.

I'd love for there to be some slightly intelligent pathing as well. The movement skills that aren't teleport-ish have problems with wide player hitboxes getting hung up on the corners of tiny obstacles. Rather than slamming me into the corner of the doorframe over and over, just assume that I actually wanted to get close to where I clicked.

Im looking at his build again, and i think it's the englighten gem?

Hatred - Herald of Ash - Arctic Armour - Enlighten( LV3 or 4)

Enlighten reduces mana reserved by auras, so you'll have like 8/12% unreserved for enlighten 3/4.

Yeah that'll do it, but Enlighten costs a fair bit, because it's a bitch to level(does nothing at lvl 1 and takes like as much xp as a full lvl 20 gem to get to 2 or whatever).

yeah, no one is sure. could be a hint at a betrayal mechanic.
or, I see most reddit posts positing, its referring to the legacy crafting spree, that would occur now, till betrayal, to get legacy stat sticks, before nerfs.

Yeah, I just read the comments. Seems to be the consensus. If that's true I guess they will nerf Stat Sticks. Oh well, I only used Stat Sticks on like one build, and they were mega powerful.

I was always more in favor of pure phys weapons being the best because crafting decent (70% total+) stat sticks was pretty easy, and a joke with fossils. Crafting 500+dps 1handers however always seemed hard. Hopefully this is the era of 2handers and we see some 1k dps big bois out there finally!

Won't know until the patch notes drop, but anything self-cast has been typically underpowered compared to using it in a trap/totem/mine/poet's pen.

I really want to play a caster this league(I played melee in both Bestiary and Incursion)and I'm thinking Arc, because I love lightning effects/spells. Is this build still solid for 3.5, or is it already slightly outdated?

I'm doing this right now and I've been plowing through everything as fast as I can run through T7. Can't speak to the next patch, naturally.

So kind of the upper echelon for a Windripper build. I like it. You can do T11 with WR with enough currency pretty effeciently. Obviously no where near a T3. I did WR a couple leagues ago and had nowhere near a fully optimized build and was plowing through shaped BC waaaaaaaay to easy. Now the question is where it ends up on the atlas and how you can manipulate it.

Obviously a nerf, but lets be honest, it needed it.
