sony seems to be floundering hard, why the fuck would you task blue point (demon souls remake) with a live service God of War game? what the fuck is even a GAAS GOW? Bend Studios made Days Gone I believe.
i'm glad they are shutting down all this GAAS bullshit but it also means a dozen studios or so have been toiling away on bullshit for 3-5 years now and its all dead with nothing to show. Maybe they will learn after Concord but I doubt it, probably see more strong gay women in more bullshit

I don't follow much, but doesn't that basically just leave Neil Cuckman's strong gay woman game and maybe some more Horizon strong gay woman to cash in on the movie?
Sony's only remaining hope is if the Japanese side forces out the rest of the Westerners completely and ignore all input coming from California or Blackrock, and even that won't leave enough time to salvage the rest of this generation.
Has that studio even made anything before?
Bend Studio has Days Gone, and Bluepoint's remakes speak for themselves.
Fairgame% epitomizes the tone deaf, "hello fellow kids" approach that the AAA games industry has been taking. How dense does someone have to be to unironically buy into a game feigning anti-capitalism that belongs to an entire genre designed around systematically extracting money from players like strung out addicts?

I made it like two hours into Black Myth, died over and over to something or other, and just never got back to it. I'm sure I was doing something wrong because all my attacks were doing pathetic chip damage.

They don't understand. Concord had very high production values, and a tremendous amount of money poured into it. Every component of successful games from 7 years earlier was faithfully reproduced.
The reality is that they probably just believe that live service games are now out of fashion, inexplicably, and are moving on in massive uncalculated shifts in priority.
It's like an AI oil painting, they managed to make one that looks old and has no eyebrows, why does no one like my Mona Lisa???
2 hours in could be the optional boss that you can just run by? Giant thing that slams head into ground and has a large AE attack, all of which (at that point) will close to oneshot you. Drops a spirit that, when you first encounter it, you can't pick up because you don't have the vessel for it yet (you do get the spirit though). I spent a few tries getting him down, as you say, it was only chip damage.
If it was him, then recommend trying the game again, and just running past him and go back later if you want (his spirit is very good so worth getting). As you progress through the game, there are very few normal enemies that don't usually die to a combo or two. Certainly none that early.

I suck at these types of games anyway so I'm not even going to try this game until it's on deep discount sale.

If Sony truly wanted a GAAS type game, all they would need to do is tell Sony US to fuck off, then offer Shift Up a sweet deal (SU made Stellar Blade and also the popular gacha Nikke: Goddess of Victory). They would make bank. Since the only GAAS games are all gacha types.

Meanwhile, Sony cancels about 10 live service projects, losing substantial time, resources and opportunity cost. Add the 3.4 billion wasted on Bungie, which at 200 mill a pop could have funded 17 massive AAA games. What about the 400 mill lost on Concord?
So at the half way point through the gen, with only one live service game available (HD2) can someone explain how "live service games are to fund the single player games" ? Because so far it's been exactly the other way around.
Just be honest and say you'd have done just fine with how you were doing before but saw the live service money and got greedy.
Oh well at least I have a couple gems left before the PS5 is done, such as:
2025: Samurai sword Lesbian
2026: Space laser sword Lesbian
2027: Robot shooting Lesbian
2028: Zombie shooting Lesbian
And Wolverine in case I need a little break from my lesbian role playing adventures.

Chapter 3. A lot of haters said there are hardly any other enemies to kill in black myth but there are so many in between boss locations. I don’t like to waste my spells on them but some of them swarm on you and you can use it or run past them to save it for a boss.
