Pretty much. Sony is a pretty cucked company, which is odd since they're based on Japan. a pretty uncucked country.

UI looks nice, I really like that most functions don’t seem to take you out of the game...like joining a party for example.

Sony Interactive Entertainment HQ is right outside Soy Francisco and has been completely taken over by SJWs. Sony lets them do whatever they want, even censoring Japanese games *in Japan*.

Hmm weird they integrated the system UI and the quests for a game. Wonder if developers will still just continue to make their own quest interface instead. I’m guessing yes since so many games are multiple system games. What a weird thing to keep secret.

I’m sure glad these giant companies are doing the right thing and being more intrusive on our speech and thoughts so we know what is acceptable or not.

It’s not Sony that is recording. It’s just a statement that people you are chatting with can record the audio, and submit it to Sony if they want.

Game companies have always moderated chat features. You’d get suspended for /ooc’ing and calling someone a faggot in Everquest (definitely don’t know that from experience...), not much different here.

Gotta say that UI and its concepts seem much better than I expected.

UI looks good, only concern is maybe always having a bunch of prompts about game progress/trophies that are always ignored to get to the things you are trying to get to. Some of that integrated into the overlay like that seems a little strange, I wonder how much that will be supported.

Best part is the very beginning, loading right into your last played game on login.

It's goddamn infuriating that Sony updated Remote Play for PS4 8.0 and the PS5, but the Windows version still requires their proprietary piece of shit bluetooth dongle that they haven't even manufactured for two years now in order to play wireless. The thing sells for like $70-150 on Ebay and Amazon now, which is absurd since it was overpriced garbage that didn't even work in most things besides Remote Play at $25. It's even more retarded when you realize that they have no such requirements on any other platforms Remote Play is available for.

Also rather annoying but I suppose not really unexpected, Remote Play on Vita/PSTV still works with PS4 8.0, but will it never be able to stream from a PS5.

I play PS4 games remotely with my elite controller via this method, works great(maybe I'm misunderstanding why you need the dongle, a wireless DS4 should just work)

DS4Windows + ViGEm works but it turns a wireless DS4 into a generic XInput controller, which in turn breaks the touchpad. The share button becomes touchpad-press so it's ok in some games but if you want to play, say, Ghost of Tsushima you're out of luck. Multiplat games rarely use the touchpad swipes or more than one of the 'press' spots, but first party ones do use it sometimes.

Chiaki was by far the best solution, but due to the new update it's broken until the dev cracks Sony's encryption on Remote Play data again. Also, it has the same problem with XInput.

I tried DS4Windows and it sucked. I had to reset it all the time, it would fuck up and think I had an Xbox controller and the mapping would break.

Can I just buy a Xbox controller and use it with my Windows PC as if I were using it on an Xbox? I just want a no latency wireless xbox or ps4 controller for my PC. I've tried a couple bluetooth solutions and they either break or have latency.

I haven't actually used DS4Windows in years, basically since Steam added full DS4 support. Only thing I miss is the ability to map keyboard commands to stuff on the touchpad. I never did have a ton of success with Bluetooth with it either.

What I currently use is either the extra Xbone controller that my X1X came with, or my 8bitdo SN30+ Pro when it's not being used with my Switch. I use this BT adapter: Amazon product ASIN B07V1SZCY6 and both gamepads work perfectly. The DS4 seemed to as well, but I moved that over to my laptop and only use it wired for Remote Play.
-------------------------

I'm even less thrilled with the new Remote Play update after playing with it a while. I think they did something to the encoding engine because now the PS4 Pro seems to struggle with it. I got a ton of noise and artifacting in the stream today that I have never seen before. Some audio glitches too. I hope it's just some change they made that carried over from the PS5 support added, and the PS5 itself won't have any problems next month.
