maybe im dumb but why cant you just create a party chat and invite people you play with... it sounds like just existing parties were wiped out, but it all works the same if you create new ones? except parties are now private by default (with no way to change it?) so you cant fish for parties, which honestly I didn't even know was a thing

I don't really understand any of this but PS5s are going to resell for over a grand. Don't cancel, make a buck off of the Sony cucks instead.

Using a PC with a TV is still clunky as hell compared to just plugging in a console and being done with it. You have to deal with using a wireless kb and mouse from your couch, plus the Windows UI/text looks like shit on most TVs so you're generally limited to whatever you can do in Steam Big Picture mode. And PC audio is still a shitshow for anything better than stereo. Windows HDR is still a disaster as well. My gaming TV is about as far as you can get from my PC in my house, but even if it was 3 feet from the receiver I'd still buy a Series X rather than deal with it.

And while pretty much all Xbox games come to PC in some form, not all of the ones on Gamepass come to both console and PC. Quite a few publishers don't sell their games on Windows Store at all, which makes it impossible for them to be on Gamepass PC.

in my game room/man cave (whatever you wanna call it) my PC is hard wired into my TV and things work easy as heck if I wanna play from my lounge chair. I usually still just okay at my PC though.

I dunno maybe i just do it the simp way. 🤷🏻‍♂️

It's not hard, it's just clunky. I have several Logitech K400's, which is the sort of thing most people use for their HTPC. Sure, it works, but I find touchpads intolerable for more than a few minutes at a time on a laptop, and it's even more annoying with the touchpad placed way over on the side. I wouldn't use it for anything beyond getting into a game so that I could switch to a controller, or for text input once in the game.

And out of the things I listed, that was the least of the problems anyway.

honestly i prefer gaming on PS4 (PS5) because i get more satisfaction out of PSN trophies than gamerscore or steam achievements. Its dumb as fuck and zero defense but there it is. I don't try for platinum trophies 99% of the time but its nice getting one.

People are losing their shit about the whole audio thing. Sony says they aren't the ones recording the audio, but they may be. They're saying that if OTHER PLAYERS record audio and send it to Sony, they have to investigate the recording. So.... /meltdown

"MY FREEDOM!" People are fucking sheep. And we all know that large companies are always spying on us. Sony just pointed a big light on it.

It’s for party chat, why even join parties with someone you feel the need to report? Sounds like a feature for people that demand safe spaces wherever they go

Reminds me of EQ where people had to make a conscious decision to disable the bad word filter and then reported people who used bad words

Safetyism. From kids who grew up never knowing the joy of riding bikes without helmets, playing in the front yard, or riding the back of a pickup truck. Who thought the end of those things would be harbringer of the decline of western civ?

There any good way at this point to get more of these? I wasn't planning on flipping, but it sounds like fun. Kinda want to buy one or two extra ones so that the first pays for itself.
