Well that sucks but I'm sure as hell still going to buddy up Lapras. Where the hell else am I gonna get Lapras candy? Lapras is still by far the best pokemon to buddy, followed by Snorlax, Jigglypuff, Exeggcute, and Bulbasaur. Dratini candy is 100% not worth it since you're looking at 625km just to evolve to Dragonite, and that doesn't even cover powering up. At 1/3/5km per candy, nothing else is worth it unless you're desperate to finish a pokedex entry.

Btw, maybe it was only me who read it wrong, but Wigglytuff didn't lose Play Rough, only Jigglypuff did.

I think I'll start walking my weepinbel, just 20 more candies for the evolution there and I need far more to max it out.

That's weird, you can pick him as a starter. Doesn't matter much since Raichu is trash. The only good Gen 1 electric type (in Go) is Zapdos.
Very few electric types will be good in Go because they have a tendency towards high speed and low hp, which translates poorly in the conversion formula. There are a handful of electric types that should convert into top tier battlers scattered through future generations though.
Gen 2 - Ampharos
Gen 4 - Electivire, Luxray, Magnezone
Gen 5 - Eelektross, Stunfisk
Gen 6 - Mega Ampharos (Manectric is from Gen 3 but both Manectric and its mega translate poorly to Go)

2 Lickitung just spawned nearish my house. I had 12 minutes to get to the first one, about a km away. Just barely managed to get dressed and get out of the house on time to waddle my way there and catch it.
Second one then spawned on the far side of Kanda station, too far to get, but easy to get if I was still at the house. I guess it was my night.
Leaves me with 3 pokemon left to get. A Lapras, 20 more candy for a Muk, and 9 more candy for a Raichu.

Just got back in and there was a Lickitung, a Jolteon, and a Wigglytuff all up at the same time. I could have gotten to the Jolteon or the Wigglytuff, maybe even both, but I didn't wanna go right back out. Ordinarily I'd bust ass to catch a Wigglytuff, but having a slow morning.
