Pregnancy Thread

Grats man.

So after we were at the hospital a few weeks early with contractions everyone was saying "oh yeah you won't run the full 40 weeks" here we are sitting in week 37+5, wife has had enough, just wants the litte alien to pop out already.

My project at work is finished so the way is clear for my 1 month leave.

Little bugger not budging.

I guess she'll be 40+6 or something in the end.

Tried sex to stimulate contractions, no success. Will try again and again.

Semen apparently can stimulate contractions and birth. Keep going my man.

Yeah old women keep saying that but I read on the internet (so it must be true!) that the concentration of the prostaglandin hormone in sperm is like 100 times below what would have any effect.

I'm not telling my wife that.

I will also convince her that taking it orally works better. Hah!

I think a_skeleton_03 told someone to have sex to induce labor so that person did it and had 100% success rate

You need the suinieg stamp of sex approval for it to work.

Maybe i'm confused, maybe a_skeleton_03 needs to have sex with YOUR wife to induce labor

Just remember guys, ingesting seamen will reduce the risk of preeclampsia and having sex will help induce labor. These are true internet facts and there are plenty of supporting links to show your pregnant wife that she is sure to believe.

This response confuses and excites me.

Had our first visit with a specialist. He has done the majority of 3 or more deliveries for the past 40ish years in Indiana, and he made us a lot more comfortable with staying with all 4. He highly recommended an abdominal cervical cerclage which really reduces the chances of extreme prematurity (<28 weeks) drastically, to the point where it's very unlikely. Thinking of naming them Leonardo, Donatello, Rafael, and Michelangelo until they are born

If you're giving the child a nick name prior to birth, Cletus the fetus is the only acceptable possibility.

Yeah, tell your wife it's already set in stone

So last night our kid woke up at 2:20 AM calling for daddy to cuddle. Finally got her back to sleep after about 40 minutes, crawl back into bed at 3AM, wife says "I don't know how you feel about it but I'm SO HORNY right now!"

Alarm goes off at 5:45. Doesn't matter, had sex.

Still no signs of childbirth happening any time soon.

Wife just got back from having a transabdominal cerclage procedure earlier today. Pretty uneventful, which is good. Spent about 2 days in the hospital

Wife is due on the 10th, still no signs whatsoever. Regular checkup on the 10th too, we'll see.

With all the hubbub we had about the kid probably coming in May, it's starting to become a drag.
