Sex can induce labor, you filthy goddamn porn star
I went in knowing that.

Told her to make sure she has soft hands for the remaining eight weeks because reasons.

P.S. it was her idea to fuck on sunday. Even suggested to watch some porn. I love this woman.

Wife just had an ultrasound. Baby is measuring pretty small (10th percentile) at 5.5 lbs with 3 weeks left. Tech said not to worry, so of course my wife is in a panic.

Not sure how to handle this. She works out obsessively and I've been telling her to cool down until the baby is born, I'm wondering if she's hurting the baby.
Incredibly unlikely, unless she's like a damn olympic athlete or something. Or doing reps of crunches and squats. Might want to avoid those.

She's just making it small. Which isn't a cause for any alarm whatsoever. The entire last 3 months is just fatting that little booger up anyway. When it gets away from insane fitness don't want pregnancy weight mommy, it'll plump right the hell up.

Consider: Half starving women in africa who work menial labor all day long, sleep in a house made out of shit, and carry buckets of water on their heads from the local creek give birth to perfectly healthy babies. Infant mortality isn't so much that they're born badly.

I think your little squirt is probably ok with mommy on the treadmill.

For what it's worth I was only 4 pounds and change when I was born full term. Now I'm a fat slob. That part might not be reassuring though.

Our first weighed in at a whopping 2525 grams (about 5.5 lbs). Let me assure you no workout was involved.

(wife hospital story)
She was allowed to leave today, everything seems to be alright so far. Doc said in two or three weeks it's no problem anyway, but 32/33 weeks is too soon.

So she's going to take it slow, really slow, for a while, and I get to do the stuff around the house when I get home from work. Not complaining, I get tons of praise about how much I'm helping her already, this should add even more bonus points for me, wonder what she's getting for my birthday in August

On a serious note, the "oh god I hope the kid doesn't come out with some sort of disability" fears are starting to show themselves. I work in a "sheltered workshop" and the shit you see here every day really makes you appreciate your healthy kid, and hope the next is healthy too.

Now it's time to take some pics of the wife before it's too late. Framed some nice b/w shots in the bedroom when she was pregnant with the first kid, going to do it again. This time we have better background settings too (story for home improvement thread but I don't really have the time to gather before/after pics and do a writeup).

Well at 32/33 weeks they'd need a stay in the NICU for a bit so it's not TOO SOON. We have friends who had their twins at 28 weeks and they're both little rascals now at 2 years old and change. So don't let that frighten you too much.

Good Luck! They told my wife for about 10 weeks that our daughter was measuring small, 11 percentile and she had low fluid. We did a scheduled C-section a few days after the due date and she came out weighing 7lbs perfectly healthy!

I did not know where this was going and I started get a little sick to my stomach. I was so happy to read the last two words!

Going in tonight for induced labor. Small baby plus low amniotic fluids. It's happening.gif

Still going guys. They gave her the medicine that would start induction around 8:00pm and pulled it at 1am because it was slowing the baby or something. Now she's at 4cm dilated and I got kicked out because she wanted the epidural. I left in shame because I blew up her bathroom right before all the doctors came in. They said we would deliver around 5-7pm, but I have a feeling it will come sooner.

And don't worry I dropped bombs like Platoon every time I used the bathroom in my wife's recovery room. For four days straight. Smelled like a third world country in there.

It'll happen, and it'll happen in a hospital that is safe and everyone will be okay. Try to be patient, and remember:

I didn't have to leave the room for the epidural.
