I don't disagree with what you just said here. However, I don't expect the characters to do the logical and rational thing 100% of the time. I do expect them to do it at least some of the time though. I'd typically expect a pretty high percentage for a "smart" movie, but I'd have been happy with 25% inPrometheus. By all "normal" standards I don't feel it was even close. I'm not going to list every decision they make, and I wouldn't count things like landing the spaceship without crashing or bringing spacesuits, but I don't see how it can even be at 25%, because almost every single decision made by someone was bad.

The mapping pro getting lost was the worst one to me. Stuff like the helmet...yeah I wanted to groan a bit at the time but was willing to let it go. Its just the cumulative effect of it all as well though, I can deal with isolated cases but it combined by the end into a joke of a movie script.

Finally got around to watching this yesterday. Thought it was pretty decent. There were a couple groan inducing moments, but overall I don't get the levels of nerd rage direct against this movie. Definitely needs a sequel.

This is the general consensus from the first thread. The movie has some moments, it has some parts about it that are amazing (Visually, ect), but it just falls short. There are some groan inducing moments and baffling out of place actions that lead the story of the movie to be relatively incoherent and out of place. Its a popcorn movie only.

TDKR was almost unwatchable for people who aren't avid comic book readers. It was long, dull, boring and had absolutely zero flow.

TDKR wasn't great - but if it was just a standalone batman movie, people would be raving about it without TDK to compare it to.

TDKR is still better than 70-80% of comic book movies made in the last 20 years, people are just expecting IM1 or TDK level of quality out of every comic book movie these days.

well i'll be honest,for me TDK was amazing mostly for Heath's performance.has really great action scenes but i think in the end,the movie drags with all that blow up hospital and then boat scenes.
i went to see TDKR with any expectations but some scenes are purely laughable (for example,when the cops are charging mercs with fucking machine guns and tanks lol)
