Like I can remember who did what. Not whoever, I moved the last one and infracted. Wasn't any secret to it.
I don't disagree with what you just said here. However, I don't expect the characters to do the logical and rational thing 100% of the time. I do expect them to do it at least some of the time though. I'd typically expect a pretty high percentage for a "smart" movie, but I'd have been happy with 25% inPrometheus. By all "normal" standards I don't feel it was even close. I'm not going to list every decision they make, and I wouldn't count things like landing the spaceship without crashing or bringing spacesuits, but I don't see how it can even be at 25%, because almost every single decision made by someone was bad.By the same logic 80% of Star Trek episodes would never exist. If every action in sci-fi was predicated on doing something logical and rational 100% of the time, that would pretty much eliminate every plot device in the science fiction genre. But you guys will sit around and stroke yourself off to the DS9/Dominion wars for pages regardless of how implausible and contrived they are but then balk atPrometheusbecause one guy got lost somewhere or another took off his helmet.
Sean telling someone else to stop being a bitch .... This is rich.Report some more of his shit and I'll gladly banhammer him again. I did a full 10 day ban on him before.
Araysar:
I didn't 'shaw this thread due to not likingPrometheus. I thought it was an okay-ish movie. I 'shawed this thread because obvious troll was obvious and you're not fooling anyone. You henceforth got RPP'd by a different mod because you went ahead and made two more threads about it. Suck it up and take your 3 days from whoever gave it to you and stop being a little bitch because you got slapped on the wrist.
This is the general consensus from the first thread. The movie has some moments, it has some parts about it that are amazing (Visually, ect), but it just falls short. There are some groan inducing moments and baffling out of place actions that lead the story of the movie to be relatively incoherent and out of place. Its a popcorn movie only. Finally got around to watching this yesterday. Thought it was pretty decent. There were a couple groan inducing moments, but overall I don't get the levels of nerd rage direct against this movie. Definitely needs a sequel.
I for one welcome our new overlords, the Nerd Reich. The movie still trolled everyone better than you could ever aspire to do.That's right, I've been muzzled from posting anywhere on this board except here because I likePrometheusand I'm not ashamed to defend it.
Big Araysar a virgin in the clink, dont drop the soap.Bro,
Set me and my thread free.
TDKR was almost unwatchable for people who aren't avid comic book readers. It was long, dull, boring and had absolutely zero flow.Yes, people likePrometheus. This board goes overboard in its hatred of shit that was at least a popcorn flick. Take how suddenly Inception is a "horrible" movie according to overrated directors thread or TDKR getting shit on like it was a shitty movie.
However, your post wasn't about getting a discussion going. It was about starting an argument and getting some flame wars going.
"it gets better and better with each subsequent viewing."
"an amazing piece of sci-fi/horror"
Obvious trollbait.
even for some avid comic book readers that i know,TDKR was pure shit....TDKR was almost unwatchable for people who aren't avid comic book readers. It was long, dull, boring and had absolutely zero flow.
.What are you arguing? Ripley tries to keep them out citing her rank and regulations. Ash, who is only there to get the alien on board, allows them in. After the Wild win tonight watch the movie again bro. You're facts aren't straight.
Someone's salty that they got stuck with a Tyen medal!Araysar, you might call this a win for the people, but really it is at the expense of the people... or at least their brains. You can take your commendation medals and cram them up your ass.
