I dunno. It's a secluded mansion that apparently can't be gotten too without using the front entrance. You don't really need inside compound cameras. Also I am pretty sure the bad guys, not the family, put those cameras and gates in. It's why the son keeps painting the area without all that stuff in the pictures.

Gutters on old houses are not cheap sheet metal aluminum like on a mcmansion. Those old houses have solid steel gutters bolted in with lag bolts. Some are even patina copper.

I can't believe you edgelord homos are debating something like a fucking gutter when this is clearly the best Reacher yet. None of the dumb girl bossing. Great fight scenes where the girl FBI agent gets her ass kicked like what would really happen. The writing in this is much better even if there are some slight bits of absurdity for drama.

I fully expected Reacher to kill a great white shark with his teeth. I'm sad that clip didn't make the final cut. So far it's great. Much better than DEI harvard grad season 1 or all the girl bossing in season 2 that made Reacher into a side character.

Dude secured in a bedroom moves about at night at will to investigate secret rooms on the property or goes swimming off to get picked up by DEA girl

I have much more of an issue with that than the strength of the gutter bolts and/or material

A secret room that was only revealed because a goon didn't care about making both of them deaf by firing a hand cannon in an enclosed room, and a spill was generated that just happened to form on the 2% of the floor that covered the hatch to the room, and a hatch that said goon gave Reacher time to investigate before forcing him out of the room without observing what Reacher was investigating.

It's writing that's so bad that I assume its all an elaborate snare to trap him, because actual plotting could never be this stupid, but no, the writing staff is just this incompetent.

Turn off your brain and enjoy the vigilante fantasy or watch another show.

One thing a rewatch of Stargate SG-1 has re-taught my wife and I recently is that you really need to be OK with ignoring things which just don't make any sense so long as the ride is fun....

This season is not looking good. DEA chick is semi hot but that fucking God awful Bostonian accent is painful to listen too. Do women in Boston really sound like that? If so, then I can forgive domestic violence being a thing there. The violence level is pretty tight, but overall the season is crap so far.

Will do you one better. Here's the real tech from the fictional show instead of the fictional show tech in the fictional show. Note how they moved the table out of the way before going through the wall, implying that they themselves don't become affected but rather the walls, elevator door, etc are altered allowing people to pass through. Or perhaps golf through.

SG-1 writing is better than Reacher writing, but it has been pointed out this was an earlier book.
