I know the HPV strain that has warts as a side effect is transferred through contact. A lot of the time the warts aren't on the actual genitals but just in the area (lower abdomen, etc). Condom only covers so much. It's pretty easy to transmit, that's why HPV is so prevalent (something like ALL sexually active men/women will get a strain of HPV at some point in their life). Luckily it isn't permanent (body kills it off in about 3 to 5 years, I think) and the strain that gives warts isn't the same strain(s) that give cancer. As for as STD's go, HPV is more just an embarrassing cosmetic thing. How can you "easily get" that shit when wearing condoms? Sure they aren't 100% but... easily?
Its the risk you take when you want random hookups. So how do you Tinder/similar site veterans avoid getting shit like genital warts (HPV) when you hook up with randoms? Considering you can still easily get shit like that even when using condoms. I'm trying to gauge the danger level of using this shit for hook ups.
WTF?? HPV has several strains, including anal warts; sad story, back in my teens I was... promiscuous with older men (I'm gay), just one encounter this guy penis had a wart but I didn't realize it and he just used 'the tip', when I went to put the condom I saw it and told him to GTFO.Eh, just wear a rubber and/or fuck them in the ass. Or if you're really that worried about it don't be promiscuous.
Anal sex also has a higher chance of transmitting STIs in the first place, though a fair portion of homosexual hook-ups are oral only. The question you've asked is pretty complicated, actually. With HIV being basically treatable, condom use has declined, which increases the transmission of other infections. Sero sorting is a thing (hooking up only with people who have the same strain of HIV as you do), which again causes the spread of other infections. There is a lot of casual sex due to apps now and while not all homosexual men use them, the ones that do have much higher rates of infection. The UK has called the infection rate in their homosexual population a "crisis."This is on honest question so please don't take it as gay bashing or whatever. Is STD's more rampant with homosexual men because there isn't a chance of getting the other person knocked up and thus fewer people use rubbers? Is it due to men being more promiscuous then women? Or is it the same / not as predominant as heterosexual sex and I have my presumptions all wrong?
Don't worry; when you're in your teens you are a horny fuck, for gay teenagers with access to things like grindr (think tindr but more of 'who's close that want to fuck now') you can get access to sex really, really easily; everytime I show my friends grindr they are AMAZED how fast I can setup a hookup, a few minutes with someone close is all its needed. Having said that, yes, when you're younger you definitely don't think anything can happen to you and also for gay kids growing up we are definitely fed with the 'gay sex is wrong' so we are least likely to go into a pharmacy and get condoms, or let people know, so a lot of them are forced into secret, quick hookups (think teenagers and say older married closeted men). This is on honest question so please don't take it as gay bashing or whatever. I don't see how being a gay teen would be more of a reason to be embarrassed to buy condoms then a straight teen as all the pharmacists / other workers / customers see is a boy buying rubbers. I can see the whole catholic guilt aspect of it, but the actual buying of rubbers shouldn't be any different. Today some grocery stores have them locked up and you have to go ask for a key. Are they fucking retarded. No kid is going to do that shit. I will say this though, if the internet was in full swing back in the day and the rubbers came packaged like they do now in the mail, I would have stolen a LOT LESS in my day and just bought them online.... for gay kids growing up we are definitely fed with the 'gay sex is wrong' so we are least likely to go into a pharmacy and get condoms, or let people know, so a lot of them are forced into secret, quick hookups (think teenagers and say older married closeted men).
You assume the fear is rational. Kids having straight sex are often afraid to buy condoms and straight sex is basically OK, even though kids are told not to do it. Homosexual kids? Forget about it.I don't see how being a gay teen would be more of a reason to be embarrassed to buy condoms then a straight teen as all the pharmacists / other workers / customers see is a boy buying rubbers. Man hope these dumb kids dont discover self checkouts. You assume the fear is rational. Kids having straight sex are often afraid to buy condoms and straight sex is basically OK, even though kids are told not to do it. Homosexual kids? Forget about it.
Yes. Gonorrhea can live in the throat and be asymptomatic (Gonorrhea Symptoms in the Mouth STD Panels Center) it really sucks because when you're blowing someone you don't really want to be tasting latex. You got the clap from receiving a BJ? Wow, that one's news to me.
Pretty much, I was raised in South America, in a very Catholic setting (Think Opus Dei) and the thought of being 'caught' with anything gay was complete HORROR for me, so getting condoms and then having people talk about me getting condoms (small town) or getting caught drove me to have unprotected, quickie, hidden sex. Thankfully I wasn't that much of a whore and I didn't catch something like HIV, but I did get HPV which also stays with you for life. You assume the fear is rational.
