Pumped about this. Downloading it once I get home from work. I'm going for a decker first, I think. What is everyone else doing?

Decker also. Considered creating my own class, but decided to save that for my second play-through.

Game's pretty cool so far. Sucks that the campaign is so short though. And, as everyone and their fucking mother knows, checkpoint saves is fucking retarded.

Anyone know how to get to the items in your stash? Bought a piece of gear but can't figure out how to access it.

Playing a decker first round as well.

Your stash can be accessed at the Seamstress Union or before a level begins.

Edit: Looks like you can also access your stash in the vendor screen.

Downloaded it over lunch, looking forward to playing it later. It downloaded fast, so no worries there.

Went elf decker first with heavy charisma. Deckers usually get more cash because of hacking.

Also, on the Steam workshop there are already a few campaigns people made posted.

First impressions after 45mins or so:

Pretty good music, fun combat system similar to the new X-com (with cover), good writing so far.

I hope something like a hardcore, persistent setup can be made once they patch multiplayer in, like the neverwinter 1 persistent servers, but im not sure what the multiplayer will be like.

Played for 20 or so (all I had time for). Sooo .... good ...
You know what I really enjoyed? Not being bored by long ass cutscenes

Looking around it seems the main complaint is that combat is way too easy. Zero challenge even on the harder difficulty settings. I've only done the first battle so far, so I dunno yet.

Let's hear some early impressions.
Love it so far. Combat is practically identical to [new] XCOM and there's none of the base-building micromanage-y crap to drag it down. Only thing I find myself wishing for is gamepad controls, because I enjoyed XCOM much more that way. Seems to be a work-in-progress or something, since the left stick moves the camera but that's the only functionality there is on the pad as of now.

I don't see the issue with checkpoint saves. Unless you like to save-scum your way through TBS/RPG's it shouldn't be a problem at all. What I do have a problem with is the engine performance. It stutters during most characters' combat actions.

I definitely didn't "next next next next" (like with WoW quest stuff) the dialogue. Further, your choices of response can change the game in many places (but not all I believe). Options also open up in the conversations based on the types of etiquette you know, or your intelligence, strength, quickness or charisma. Mad intredasting.

Definitely fun so far. Good combat, good dialogue. Was expecting it to be more open world but from the hour or so I have played, I like it. My only annoyance is no saving so if I have to get up and leave I will have to restart whatever I am doing or just leave it on.

Not ecountered it myself, as I have not gotten far, but according to the TB video the saves are too rare. For instance, it does not save every time you enter a new level, so you can lose quite a bit of progress if you have to quit. IE: Enter a place, spend 30 minutes talking to people, enter combat, another 30 minutes, enter new area, and still not saved. TB mentioned save scumming too, and the way it is currently designed is still too harsh if that is the only thing it is supposed to counter.

I too have stutters, but it is not visual, the audio cracks/skips with me. Happens at times with combat (usually when a big animation takes place). Not at all gamebreaking, but annoying.

Rolled an Ork Adept and this is pretty awesome. I quite miss the old CRPG style. I suppose it just goes to show that there is a reason I continue to play PS:T and BGII and Fallout 2 every so often to this day. Voice acting and cutscenes, WHO NEEDS EM!?

Fun stuff so far but I have to agree about the combat even on hardest difficulty being too easy. I dont even use cover anymore and wipe the floor without taking too much damage.

Yep. I hope they make a ton of money and these become a thing again.
