My brother has this case for his 5X. Pretty low profile, offers good protection, my brother has been a fan of Spigen cases for several phones now. I'm probably getting a similar one for my 6P.

Well that was fast. 24 hours and $275 richer (minus shipping / transaction fees) I have sold my previous phone. May have been able to get $20 - $30 more for it but getting it done and over with feels good. Definitely blunts the edge of the new case / cord / charger accessory purchasing.

The Speck does have rubber at the corners so it's not solid plastic. However, the rubber at the corners I wouldn't exactly call "thick".
Funny I used Spigen before switching to Speck and always felt like their fit was off/goofy. That was a few years back on my S3 though.
The 5x Tudia case has thick rubber on the top, bottom and corners. Wife has that one and she is pretty happy with it. I can probably post some pics of it if it will help.

On my previous phone. The rom modified the phone such that it generally had a dark interface (which saves battery, right?) and I like the look of it better. Is that a common thing? Is there a typical way this is done (besides using the same website)?

Dark ROMs s are more of an amoled thing for battery savings and burn in. They look sweet though. Both the 5x and especially the 6p get good to amazing battery out of the box. I'm running a clean version of mostly stock right now until xposed gets working.

Basically don't buy the Oneplus USB C stuff to use with your google products that support it.

So random, wife's notifications stopped working on her Note 4. No more push notifications. Had tried some troubleshooting with no luck (made sure they were enabled for specific apps, not in DND mode, etc). Went to delete the phone's cache and instead of entering recovery it applied an update, restarted and basically factory reset her phone.
Oops.
Sounds like everything is at photos.google.com but she's upset some other folders didn't get backed up (edited folders, screenshots, etc).
She's been threatening lately to go back to a dumb phone, this might just push her to do so. I don't think she'll be happy in the least if she really ever does it.

Currently contemplating trying out WP10 with a 950 XL when it comes out at the end of the month. I'm not using that much apps that are not available there, and I have been somewhat disappointed by my Nexus 6.
But I may just as well buy a Nexus 6p when it becomes available here, not sure yet.

Depending on the plan some were doubled. I think the lower plans mostly. The higher ones gained 5gb or such. Varies by what you had. This is automatic and not linked to you bitching to the rep.

Does anyone have a "chinese" smartphone? Xiaomi, Meizu, Elephone, Cubot?
These run unter 200? for a 5" or 5.5" octacore with 16GB, dual sim, micro-sd slot, full HD display...
Looking for real life experience if anyone can provide it. I'm not shelling out ?500++ for a fucking phone. My S3 mini is acting up recently, I think it's time for change.
