No one here said it should be finished after 3 years.Full production on Next won't even begin until Landmark hits open beta. Look at how long SWTOR, ESO, Wildstar, etc. were in production for. It's unrealistic to think that an mmo that is trying to innovate should be finished after 3 years.
As mentioned, the game was scrapped 3 years ago, Dave Georgeson stated that the first several months was a few devs prototyping and trying to figure out if their new ideas would even be possible. They didn't assemble a full dev team until many months later. Daybreak clearly prioritized other systems before combat. EQN systems, including deeper combat, will be coming after the devs working on Landmark switch over to EQN in the coming months. No one here said it should be finished after 3 years.
Not to mention that the games you listed were roaring failures.
Well, GW2 took.. how long? Five years? Six? All you kept hearing is "We'll release it when it's ready" and people waiting went ballistic saying they want it now and "haven't you been working on it long enough?"No one here said it should be finished after 3 years.

Yeah, I posted that years ago.EQNextReelThere was a "leak" animation sample a few years back. (Ogre I believe) that was listed for EQ3.
I remember SOE fired the animator for leaking...and for the life of me I cannot find the video of it.
The art was more traditional, and I assume it was going to be Eq2.5
Ponytail is more fun to rag on. Butler needs more distinguishing characteristics to make MS Paint satire of, like McQuaid
Never mind.
Wow, I actually like these char models 10x more then the Disney garbage.
ikr? That paladin does look pretty cool. I'd fuck with that. Only alternative right now is Crowfall. Crowfall halpWow, I actually like these char models 10x more then the Disney garbage.
