You really think she'll be killed by the slave army? If anything I'd expect her to be killed by a Roman after discovering her relationship with Crassus. Perhaps his son will kill her as revenge for the death of his friend.

The son likes her, so I don't see him killing her for the hell of it. Maybe if she shunned his advances, although even then the son doesn't strike me as clever enough to shift the blame convincingly. Maybe Pompey will have a hand? Although more likely, it will be part of the slave army. Nevia is a good bet.

Wasn't it also her idea to have his son be treated the same as any other soldier, hence making him take part of the decimation? At least I thought I recall her saying something along those lines.

The whole show is porn. What's impressive is that this is the highest quality goreporn i've seen... possibly ever.

You look at season 1. Take a real look at it. The bulk of it is oiled up, 9/10ths naked slave dudes physically fighting, talking about being badasses, and soap opera'ing each other. It WAS softcore gayporn, but soft enough that it didn't immediately alienate hetero's and there was enough other stuff going on that we could pretend the porn aspect was "artistic integrity in representing the age". The dominus being an interesting character helped, and showing us Lucy Lawless's tits REALLY helped.

These guys have embraced goreporn in a really impressive way. Really. It's impressive what they've managed to do with it. It's not like "Rome" which had elements of goreporn layered into a greater presentation, Spartacus was straight up based on it from the first episode. The 5 minute simulated sex scene was a bit overdone and tbh I zoned out during it. But dude.. it's fucking Spartacus.

Yeah, people comparing this show to Rome is a pretty big stretch. I have watched every episode of Spartacus and mostly enjoyed it, but it's just a video game compared to Rome.

Holy shit the slaves are fucked. Spartacus Season 3: The Romans Strike Back. I know how it all ends (SP!) but glad to see the romans finally get their shit together for an episode. I really miss the big 1vs1 fights of the last season, really hope they have a big showdown with Caesar vs Gannicus/Crixus/Agron. Also fuck Naevia.

There seems to be too much emphasis on making Caesar appear like a badass. I say appear because it does not seem remotely genuine or organic in a show that's already over-the-top. When the Romans breached the gate door with the ram, I half expected the "just deal with it" glasses to lower onto his face while he chided the former slaves to run. Here's hoping the spin-off is Crassus-heavy.

I thought it was a stupid scene where they had Caesar dead to rights and then they heard the ram against the door and instead of cutting his throat and then high-tailing it like any reasonable person would have done, they just stand there and watch them beat the gate down and leave Caesar to do whatever he likes. Of course we know he's not going to die, but that was still lame.
