lmfao at midget son raping his fathers slave wench. I mean.......LOL. This show is fucking out of control on all fronts. Its actually quite comical and feels a bit like an unbridled adventure, filled with retarded amounts of gore, sex, violence, and RAPE.
I'm a fan, personally. I just appreciate the show for what it is. I mean, its kind of historically accurate, but DeKnight adds enough to it for it to be its own version of said history.
My biggest gripe is how small Liam is. He is kid of tall I guess ( I dont know his real height, but he is the same height as Crixus and taller than Gannicus and slightly shorter than Agron) but his build is inferior to Whitfield's and makes Spartacus appear to be a nimble, crafty fighter, rather than a powerful, athletic Gladiator that he was in real life.

Yeah, I pretty much consider him the best character in the show. Have always thought Gods of the Arena was my favorite season of this show and he was a large part of why.

Yeah, I read it, and laughed out loud.
The show is so fucking ridiculous, it is actually fucking BADASS. I think there are actually two lines when it comes to ridiculousness and entertainment. The first line, is the one we all know and hate. The empty, short sighted attempts at garnering a certain reaction from us the audience, in hopes of creating a sense of shock or excitement. The second, lesser known line, is one that Spartacus: War of the Damned has just crossed. I was actually considering whether Steve DeKnight was really a troll. But now I think the man needs the respect he deserves for this show.
I mean, he is basically one of us, just at the helm. He doesnt sit there and say "you know, that sounds kind of fucking cool, but its a little too offensive so lets cut it for now", instead he says "Wouldnt it be awesome if Gannicus kidnaps a Praetors pregnant wife on her way to the capital? Then decides he will join Spartacus because he loves cunt, coin and glory, and will be one of the center-pieces of the final season even though we already got a guy for that, but the fans love this guy so fuck it lets just make him a fucking GOD!".
Kudos to Starz for letting him do it. Heres to Starz in the future, and DeKnight. This show is going to end with a fucking bang, there is no other way.Especially considering they were lamenting doing 2 more seasons or some shit , then decided to make War of the Damned the final one. So they must have condensed a bunch of shit and gave the green light to anything and everything. Also, agreed about Ceaser's actor. He is a revelation. Honestly. Could you not see that fucker in Game of Thrones as a conniving, quick witted Lannister cousin or something? Great attempt at such a fucking weighty role. Crassus has done an equally great job, which really highlights how good Ceasar has been considering he steals every scene he is in.

I really do miss Ashur. He was such a well designed "bad" character. The other Gladiators were just douchey enough to make his actions sympathetic, but he was still vile enough to force you to hate him anyway. Was really great. It's obvious the midget son is supposed to replace him, but he just doesn't have the chops Ashur did.I think we should take a few seconds and remember the best character of the series.
