Jait is right

the Borg were ALREADY coming to federation space. Why ? Because of a temporal loop. A Temporal Loop that includes the events of ST: First Contact and an episode of ST: Enterprise (this episode exactly)

Q, trowing the Enterprise to the Borg in the episode "Q, who?" allowed them to prepare. Without this warning the Federation would have been completely and utterly fucked

Sure hes right never questioned that, the audience and federation wasnt expecting anything like the borg might be coming for them eventually.
And in the Locutus episode i think they were mentoning the Borg hiting chartered territories even sooner than calculated, combine that with the federal research projects to repell the Borg, we end up with Q accelerating things (and helping the federation to prepare beforehand).

Yup. Q helped them out by at least giving them a sneak peak as to what the Borg were and knowing what to expect. Instead of needing to prepare on the fly, they gained valuable intel. But as has been pointed out (and as the episode clearly pointed out), Q wanted to just bitch slap Picard out of his "We're prepare for everything" mindset and make him realize they aren't the biggest kid on the block.

If the Borg showed up in Federation space with no concrete warning, the Federation would have been fucked.

First Contact and all of the other Next Generation films never happened. They are the delusions of Captain Picard as he sat unconscious in the sun on Veridian 3 after Saron beat the shit out of him. That's why he's so incredibly out of character for all of the other films with his driving and fighting and awful one-liners. Then everyone dies and that is where the series ends.

but...but then where the borg in ST: Enterprise come from ???? omg it wasnt just a temporal loop. it was is a interdimentional-time-spiral, with Q (whose full name is Quasi Asshole) evolving into R-etard Asshole and reverting cause/effect concept !

This show is totally unrealistic about the future. If there were a such thing as holodecks, that's all the future would revolved around. Namely, holoporn. No one would care about being invaded as long as they could nail 100 three-pussied monsters from Planet X at once.

The holodeck would be the fall of mankind.

P.S.: If you take it up the butt from a hologram and you are a guy, is that gay?

Let me introduce you to Deep Space Nine my friend. Holotechnology was new at the beginning of TNG (the show Enterprise does not exist), the Enterprise was a state of the art flagship of the most powerful power in the sector so I am guessing the Holodeck is a rather expensive piece of tech. In just a few short years we see an array of holodecks in the Federation run space station being rented out for holosex. Quarks bar is always full and he charges for food and drinks that can easily be obtained at other replicators so I can only reason that everyone in the bar is in line for the holodeck. When it is noticed the Jake went into a holodeck another character got irate because basically all those rooms have been used for is fucking. The worst part is that I never saw anyone wipe down the holodeck not even once during the whole run of the show; I hope those things are self cleaning.

I always thought that was a great thing about DS9. Quark was openly running a brothel on a federation space station. They didn't gloss over it, but they hardly ever even mentioned it. It's one of those things you just don't talk about.

No different than letting Garak run your neighborhood tailor shop. By the end of the series I'm sure every starfleet and bajoran officer had multiple listening devices concealed in their clothing.

That's not even considering the custom made lingerie and vibrating skin tight suits he crafted.

They mentioned Quarks holosuites all the time, hell in one episode Quark and Kira went back and forth because Quark stole her image to be used by one customer in order to pretend he was fucking her. It was talked about and openly talked about often, officers even talked about using them in those ways.

Um, where can I look this up further? Apparently, I missed all of this + the brothel, or wasn't paying attention. And I've watched DS9 now several times through.

Just watch the series. Because the focus of the story is on the more upright federation characters you generally only see how those individuals use the holodeck. I bet most of the inferences to holosex-booths are in the first 2 seasons which is why most people don't recall.

Jake was playing baseball in the holodeck in the episode, I believe it to be an early episode and maybe the second reference to actually playing baseball in the series, the first being during the initial meeting between Sisko and the Prophets.

Whilst Starfleet operate the station for Bajora it is not their territory and it operates under Bajoran law where one can only presume brothels are legal as Odo has to find other ways to make Quark suffer.

The episode referred to above has Quark saying something along the lines of "I've got a customer with a specific request" which made it sound like most of the time they choose from the generic "models". The payoff is disturbingly amusing.

Quark is only half joking at the end of the series run when he declares Quarks Bar to be an independent enclave of the old Ferengi Empire, not the awful new one Rom is busy ruining

Recreational Intercourse State of the Alpha quadrant. Hell, the only one who still believed in traditional values was Picard and that's why he was able to resist the nexus in Generations. If it was Riker he would be having a three way with Deanna and Tasha Yar for all eternity. That bastard had a hot tub in his own quarters.

There was reference to sex in the Holodeck with STtNG as well. It was a little more subtle but Riker in one episode put it this way " I'll be in the Holodeck."
